This is a very useful app. One thing I would like to see, I password protect my device and at present I don't believe this app allows one to access my emergency contact info without my password. That would be a nice upgrade.

Great way to store medical info for quick access.Contrary to what some other reviews have said this app stores your medical info in a comprehensive and clear format. You can have profiles for multiple people (I have my wife and myself listed). It opens with a quick info card listing your picture, weight, age, blood type, and indicators of number of providers, medications, conditions, and emergency contacts. By touching one of the profiles it expands into the details on the quick info card. It lists preferred hospital, care providers, and emergency contacts. Touching any these will open the address card. The detail file also includes an area for listing medications and how they are taken, an area to list allergies and health conditions with an area for detailed notes about each one. There is includes a section for listing insurance information and the last section is for notes. The first aid information is excellent and easy to comprehend as well. You should get this app for the simple and efficient way it stores and allows access to your medical info, and consider the first aid info as a wonderful perk.

Lawyers in chargeThis app gets worst with every update. Seems like the lawers are deciding what info the app delivers. Gone is the info on child CPR. Gone is the info on first aid for drowning. Gone is the ability to save medical info on the app.

Vital information available in a few taps to find medical answers when time is critical. I highly recommend this app and look forward to seeing how it and other apps from Jive Media evolve.Insofar as the price: how much would you pay for a paper pocket First Aid guide? No doubt more than $5-10. Therefore, I find it ridiculous that someone would complain about spending $1.99 to have this information so readily available without taking up any more space in your pocket or purse. What a value! Rather than carry around a book everywhere, you have a wealth of up-to-date information stored on a device you already carry with you. It is well worth the price.

Good First Aid GuideThis guide is nicely done, and much better than the other first aid apps at the same price or less. I would like to see the infant and child procedures added to CPR and Heimlich. Even if you dont have your own kids, knowing what to do when a child/infant chokes or stops breathing will save a life.

Great AppI would have given 5 stars but the app does need to break down the Rescue Breathing and CPR procedures for Child and Infant CPR. Being a Red Cross First Aid and CPR Instructor I did find this app to be very handy and the information is very concise. I am excited to see what new upgrades will be coming out. One area I would like to see is a Emergency Number area e.g. Poison Control, Local Fire, Sheriffs, Police, even utilities like gas, power and phone.

A Must Have App for First Aid Preparation, A True Bargain for the Peace of MindEveryone should have this app on their iPhone or iPod Touch. In a first aid emergency, even if you dont have web access, the content is always there, just what you need when you need it, to the point and with no fluff. Just for the peace of mind in knowing youre prepared for a first aid emergency, this app is true bargain if you ask me!

Not current...One of very few accurate first aid/CPR apps, except...it does not reflect 2010 changes in AHA CPR procedure. Also, please include drowning emergencies (one of the leading causes of death in children) because, under the new standards, drowning CPR will be different from standard CPR.

Its okInstead of breaking up the videos or having them placed on page two or three of the instructions. I think it would be nice to have a section with the completed videos to view quickly in case of emergency. Seconds matter and in most cases people wont have time to scroll and look and read everything. A quick click to complete video for CPR would be helpful In future updates.

Handy, complete - Just what the doctor ordered!Everyone knows that a week after attending a CPR class, half of what you learned is a blur. Add that confusion to the panic surrounding a victim of cardiac arrest and you get inadequate/sub-optimal CPR. This app can be opened in 2 seconds and the appropriate instructions found in 2 more. Add a few seconds to read the easily understandable illustrated instructions and voila, youll be performing CPR as well as you did in your class. More importantly, the app goes well beyond CPR. It covers areas that most of us have no training in. Whether youre assisting a victim of heat/cold injury, electrocution, poisoning, bleeding, allergic reaction or many other maladies, this app will enable you to provide immediate help. Im a doctor and I dont carry all of this information in my head. No matter what your avocation, carrying this app will enable you to be as effective as a professional.

Great for personal emergency infoI got this app specifically so my basic medical info will be easily and quickly accessed by emergency personal. After a number of frustrating attempts, I now have vital info on the wallpaper on opening screen. Only problem I note is that almost every time I sync it I have to redo the wallpaper on opening screen. Its easy for my family to find my info. If they can, I figure anyone can. I dont use the First Aid library. If I have to read it in emergency, it wont be of much use. But I am very happy with the portions I do use. Well worth it.

Missing some things.I agree with some of the other reviewers. This app should allow the ability to call 911. I think the the AHA has a good reason for accidental push, but still necessary if you are the provider. I believe that the app should talk to you through some situations like first aid if you have not been trained or too lazy to read. I like that it allows you to have all the necessary information available, but think a dial up app for the emergency personnel like 711 or some combination would be helpful. Other then those few ideas, I am pleased with the features thus far, but improvements would move this to a 4 or 5 star app.

Could be betterVery high quality content, but poorly organized in my opinon. This app is full of content, but no tools that can actually be used in case of an emergency. Who has time to read thru all those in depth instructions when someone is dying?? Doesnt even call 911. It is hard to find useful info in this in an emergency.
