Great app. This is simply a workout log with a reasonable database of exercises, both with free-weights and machines. And if you can't find your specific exercise, you can add it! I love the rest timer; it counts down my rest time between sets, something I always have trouble doing consistently. I would like a cardio option, though. It would be nice to record it in the same location/manner as my weights. There are no how-to guides and no videos, and that is a *great* thing. Workout. Log.

Great for logging workouts and keeping track of my measurements. Tried a few others but this one worked the best during an actual workout. I really liked being able to see the # sets I planned for each exercise and previous reps/weight while working out. Doesn't have exercise pictures or videos but in my case I didn't need them since I already knew what I was doing.
For an app that appears to be for the advanced lifter it falls way short. If you only care about the exercise, sets and reps with a rest interval that remains the same through the entire workout, it will work just fine for you. But those of us who also like to pair up supersets, pay attention to tempo, use different rest periods in the same workout and like notes to remind us of special techniques like peak contraction, stutter reps, slow eccentrics, etc. will find this app lacking. Also you cant track cardio. Maybe I am asking to much, but I would like to see more. This is for the iphone afterall.

It doesn't save sets reliably
I'm doing the Rock Hard workout and needed to keep track of all the excercises and reps. This is perfect, also allows you to quickly put a comment after each set. Good job

I dont understand how anyone can give this anything less then five stars...i used it yesterday i logged my whole workout...every set in every excercise the weight i used plus the reps... It even keeps track of it week by week so you can continue to move up in weight nd progress...if you need a good log this is it! Extremely easy to enter and does not even interfere with the workout what so ever!
This is fantastic program! I am a competive powerlifter in the USMC, and I really love this program. When I need to track drop and super sets, I just change the names of exercises under each exercise. I would LOVE more blank catergories and the ability to add cardiovascular training, but for the price of a spiral notebook, this program is absolutely worth the price!!!!
Flex works great if you already have an idea what you want to do. It does not have pre defined workout routines, but it's awesome for writing down your set info. It also tells you right on the page where you enter the info what you did during your last workout. FYI if it is not saving your info that is because you did not enter your number of reps. Even if you have it set for 10reps per set, when you do ten reps you still have to touch the ten, it turns bold, and it will now save. Easy thing to skip and it makes it seem like it's not saving. Excellent replacement for a spiral notebook, or any other log book, especially since I always have my iPod for workout music anyway. Does anyone know how to get to the lifting graphs? Can't figure that out.
I LOVE this app!! I wish it could calculate calories burned and that you could add cardio and other exercises. Just got it, but it's a simple interface and has most of the exercises I do. It's GREAT!!!

It doesn't reliable save sets, often times it only saves the last set for the workout you did, with all the previous exercises just disappearing. Also, the rest period timer's alarm is wayyy to quiet, almost impossible to hear while listening to music through my phone at the same time.
For the most part this is the best log app I've tried. The only downers are that the saves are not reliable and that you don't have an option to add new exercises (you can edit existing as a workaround). I see potential and hope the developer will release an update with fixes!
The only thing needed, as a previous reviewer wrote, it would be nice to add a cardio option such as treadmill or stationary bike with distance and time options. Also, someone wrote you can add your own exercises but I don't see that option. If those two are added, this is a 10 star!!!!!
Up until now I've been tracking all of this data on paper. I always hated dragging around a pen and paper in the gym. Used this today for the first time and it worked beautifully! Easily entered my reps and weight between sets, and now all of my data is logged in a format that it is easy for me to see my progress. I particularly like the flexibility to create my own workouts and add my own exercises. One of the best features is being able to see my weight and reps for the last time I did a particular exercise during my workout - very helpful. My only complaint is the same one that has been mentioned before - unless you click on the number of reps (that is gray by default), your set will not be saved. Lost half my workout because I wasn't aware of this. Thanks to Kokwr93 for pointing out what you need to do to avoid this. This should be an easy fix for the developers in the next version. Make this change and it's a 5 star app!
One of, if not, the best workout loggers. Its right to the point and has all the needed information on one screen when working out like the previous weight/reps per set and the rest timer. This was important, because on apps like ifitness you need to click out of the main screen and then again to see your previous workout stats. It doesn't have any exercise descriptions/images however, but thats exactly what I wanted. I know what I'm doing, would just be a big waste of space and it makes apps look less clean. Now, there's just a few things in the way of making it perfect. 1) Rest timer is impossible to hear with music playing. Countless times I've rested too long. 2) Need to be able to have different rest times for different exercises. Do what ifitness did, two timers next to eachother. 3) Need to be able to add exercises too, not just edit exercises. 4) Need to be able to edit finished exercises, just incase when looking back I find a mistake. 5) Need to be able to cancel a workout once started. As of now you can only finish one, and then you have to go delete it in your workout history. This then brings a bug that messes up your displayed previous workout stats when you start the same workout again. 6) And finally, iPhone 4 retina display and ios4 multitasking support please! I feel as if the developers have stopped supporting this app. Hasn't been updated since January, which is very upsetting. In the case of no more support, I would advise everyone NOT to purchase this app. Yes it's almost perfect, but if these issues (and more that I can't think of right now) won't ever get fixed, I might have to switch back to ifitness or another app that will always have support and will probably end up topping this app in the future. Please post something on your website or find a way to show us you're still here.
Unable to exit workout once accidently starting it. Unable to edit finished workouts if u find a mistake. I can't see the reps and sets I did last time I worked out which makes it really hard to remember the weights I used. Please fix this and it would be perfect.
Good app. Need to fix the entry options so that partial reps, or fractions of measurement can be entered. There is no longer an option for a decimal point. If Im trying to keep track of my body stats, I can only enter them in increments of an inch. Not realistic for anyone trying to gain lean mass.
It's half assed It doesn't even know the correct date and it's not supported! Booo!
Please fix, when you edit a routine that you are currently working out to, the changes dont stick once you are finished it just says "not performed" even though I entered in the data.
