I have been waiting for this! I had it orignially for the PC when it came out, then I got it for my Mac, and have loved it. Since it was released on April 1st I thought this was a joke, but nope, it's real. It is real 3D, not animated, and it lets you zoom in. It is the best thing I have ever seen like this.

OK, so it's not a game and you really don't need a screen saver on an iPhone or iTouch, but it is exactly what it says it is in the description - an aquarium you can carry around in your pocket (a big pocket if on an iPad). Very colorful and vivid with highly detailed, realistic moving, simulated fish. It is as good as any video I've watched on my iTouch, except this is completely virtual. The associated image (above) obviously lacks the animation, but it is an accurate still picture depiction of the App. Very impressive - kudos to the folks that put this together.

I don't want to knock all the hard work that other developers put into their aquarium products, but this app is lightyears ahead of all the others. It is fun and amazing and pretty much the best .99 cents you can spend in the app store right now.

I've had this screen saver for years on multiple computers. Best one out there by far. Can't beat the $0.99 price on the iPad either. Maybe in an update add the ability to feed the fish by tapping the top of the screen?

I have this on my Mac (as well as its companion, "goldfish aquarium"), and it is the best screensaver I've ever seen. The fish move so realistically, and the art is top-notch. Definitely a great buy.

This is a gorgeous app visually, and a lot of fun to play with as well. The only thing I'm not finding is an easy way to keep the screen alive for when the iPad is plugged in.

You can't actually select specific fish or set number of a fish. I only want three or four species and they all show up without even being selected. Please fix this. A clock would also be nice.

The 3D animations for the fish are amazingly realistic, but the app still has plenty of room for improvement. Zooming in reveals the textures on the corals to be blurry, and makes you wish that the coral life were animated as well with moving polyps and swaying branches. Animated invertebrates would be awesome too, such as crabs or shrimps. Was also a bit disappointed with the lighting effect, and wish there were settings for the light cycle to match the real current time of your location, as well as colored light options like blue actinic. Perhaps I may be asking for much, but I still have to admit that this app is the most realistic aquaria simulation compared to any other app. Keep up the work devs, hope to see some of my suggestions above come to fruition.

MarineAquarium3 on the computer is way better, but there's something about the saturated colours and over-sharpened contrast of MA2 that I've always missed and to have it on the iPhone is super cool. It's like having PacMan... I'm not going to play it all day on my supercomputer but having little bites of the coolest thing from 10 or 20 years ago in my pocket is really wonderful. I'm really glad you did it and that it turned out so great. It's even better than on the computer screen because you can zoom and pan in a way you never could which makes it feel more interactive; not as good as if you'd add actual interaction such as feeding and glass tapping but a really nice addition. And the price is fantastic...

This app really surprised me! I thought I had grown tired of this screensaver years ago, but it has new life on the iPhone and iPad. The developer really should have uploaded some better screenshots! This app has a very high resolution and vibrant colors. The fish are well rendered in 3D, and there are many varieties. The animations are excellent, from the slowly drifting fish to the realistic caustics moving over the surface of the rocks. The environment feels three dimensional, especially with the fish swimming in front and behind the rocks and coral. The really nice thing is that the app works in portrait and landscape mode both. In portrait, you can scroll down the length of the tank with your finger and pinch to zoom. You can also zoom in landscape, of course. I tend to use this app while at my computer with my iphone or ipad docked. Provides a nice ambiance. At $0.99, this is a complete steal! Probably the best aquarium app out there, along with iQuarium.

After looking at various others... wow... this is very impressive. The 'i' works fine on my iPad (another post said it did not work). Also, another post said you can't select fish, however you can rate them (which I believe has an impact on how often that fish shows up), but unlike others, it has a great selection! If you ever owned a salt water tank, you'll appreciate this aquarium. BTW, no silly "need to feed" your one or two fish to keep them alive. You can adjust lighting, sound, bubbles, etc... I know it is a great deal for less than a buck, but hoping that new versions allow for a selection of backgrounds or other similar ability (keep in mind, that if you really owned a salt water tank, you would NOT be changing the fixtures in the tank often as the environment is very sensitive). I keep this on when my iPad is charging. Not sure how they pulled off the graphical elements... impressive... even better if you are 6 inches or more away... looks so real... (and no, I don't work for them :) ).

Love the app deff the best aquarium in the app store ... Maybe in an update you can make it so we can interact with the fish ... Maybe being able to tap the tank and scare them away ... Other then that great app ... Edit - maybe a feature so you can leave it on and the screen doesn't lock ..

Not like that frustrating app iQuarium. It looks great while I recharge the iPad. I just wish we could insert our own background image and maybe add a little bit of water distortion and upper light effects. FIVE STARS!!!
