I never realized how important the sense of touch is, and why for so many years I've enjoyed touching the ivories, until this App arrived. So much of piano master is touch and timing. What is incredible is that so much of that experience can be captured on this little device. I noticed the update you are giving us more songs, including Finlandia. Thank you!

Magic Piano is what music should be on the iPad - something familiar, yet totally transformed. It's beautiful, and the multitouch is used extremely well (all 10 fingers) and responsive. A word of warning, don't let your kids loose on this - you might never see your iPad again. I love my iPad - thanks Smule!

If you have a piano in your iPad maybe you are thinking that you don't need another one. I have 4 piano apps and by far this is the one I like the most. It makes me look like a professional pianist and I don't know how to play the piano very well by the way. If you want to play good music, relax and have a good time with people around the world, this is the app you were waiting for. Looking forward to future updates, thanx Smule.

For those that don't have the patience to practice hours everyday but enjoy the satisfaction in orchestrating a classic piece or the challenge. This is a great app and especially a great deal!

If you have even a little musical ability and enjoy some of the more famous classical tunes, the songbook mode is a blast. It's like a million rhythm games out there, except you actually control the timing of the note. Only complaint is there's not enough songs!

This is a great app. Definately worth the price. The songbook is the best part of the app. Suggestions would be to add more pieces (Beethoven Pathetique) to the songbook and start working on an organ version! Keep up the great work!

This is certainly an addictive little application. I can't wait for more tunes. And I can't wait for more people to use this application. Duets are fun if you want to ineract with someone else. It is certainly a creative outlet for expression even if you don't play the piano well. I've never played so well as I do on here!! Sweet way to express youself musically without worrying about mistakes (there is a mistake proof mode) Get this app and put a smile on your face!! Just waiting for the next updates and developments on this. A deal at the price.

I have quite a few piano/musical apps that work very well, and are a lot of fun! This one is more than fun! It's meditative, calming, and truly beautiful. I play piano in addition to a few other instruments. I have had classical training and love classical music. I'm hoping for more songs soon! This is my favorite app to date!

Update for version 1.1: 5-star app got better! Now the songbook can tell you if you're "too far right" or "too far left," which helps without taking anything away. The songbook is still the deal-making feature for me. However, if a song in the songbook is new to me, then I often feel unsure if I'm playing it "correctly." I wish there was a way to "auto-play" the song, just so I could hear how it sounds normally. --- I struggle to explain how much I love this app, especially the "beams of light" and the included songbook. They capture the joy of playing music while removing all of the barriers. For example, my 91-year-old grandma has always wanted to learn the piano to play hymns, but she's never been able to. But I think she could play them if they were in the songbook in Magic Piano. Not only that, but she wouldn't feel like she was missing anything. That's magic! The songbook lets you control when each note is played and the volume of each note, and you can sort of combine notes by playing them simultaneously. You can't do jazz, but I don't want or need that. If you want more challenge, you can set it so that you have to hit the note in the right direction, but that's infinitely easier than having to hit the right note on a real (or virtual) keyboard. Since you don't have to worry about hitting the right notes, you can focus on what really matters: how it sounds. You can enter the "flow" of the music immediately, rather than spending hours learning and memorizing all of the notes, assuming one even has the physical dexterity. Immediate flow: That's priceless! The app is clearly worth the 99 cents; again, for some people it's priceless. I only wish there were more songs in the songbook. I would pay for them! If there were a song I liked, I would easily pay 99 cents just for that. (If I'll pay 99 cents for a song on iTunes, I'll pay the same to be able to actually play the song myself!) But hopefully it'll be easy for them/us to add songs, and they'll be cheaper, especially if sold in bundles. And they really do have the Final Fantasy prelude included! If you would add the piano versions for other Final Fantasy songs, I would love to buy them! I highly recommend buying this app and trying it out, especially the songbook feature. Then have your kids try it. Have your girlfriend try it. Have your parents try it. Have your grandparents try it. It'll be priceless! Then encourage the developers to add more songs!

I downloaded this app on my iPad and I think I played it for 4hrs!!! The duet feature is brilliant and allows you to play duets with random people all over the country. This definitely worth a buck and is a must have!!!! Only thing I can think to add and I'm sure the brilliant developers of this app is already all over it, is to eventually add more preloaded songs! I love free-styling and playing the preloaded songs. This is by far the best piano app on iTunes. I was amazed at the level of talent of some of the people out there!!!! Tons of Fun!!!!

Surely, as more and more compositions become available on this little beauty, the economy will grind to a halt and mere anarchy will be loosed throughout a nation transfixed by it's own hitherto unknown dreamed of musical chops.
