Korg’s ELECTRIBE·R has been coveted by dance musicians for ten years running. Today, this indispensable instrument has been reborn as a dedicated iPad app – the KORG iELECTRIBE virtual analog beatbox!
With the iELECTRIBE, sound creation is easy, fun and intuitive – just as on a vintage analog synthesizer. Simply choose a part (or sound) and touch the 16-step sequencer to quickly build a groove. This easy-to-use interface combines forces with the iPad’s 9.7” multi touch display to offer an intuitive hardware feel, sure to inspire and captivate the imagination of any user.
The iELECTRIBE faithfully recreates the historic ELECTRIBE·R’s entire sound engine and sequencer capabilities. In addition, it provides advanced Motion Sequencing, eight supercharged effect types, plus 64 new preset patterns that instantly allow the user to create music in a wide variety of dance and electronic music styles. As a iPad app developer and pro musician I have to say that i am deeply impressed by this work. The fact that you get this much of a experience for this little $ made me forgive you guys for the total fail out of my korg dtr 1000 rack tuner at our last performance and the fact that whatever we tried to fix it did not get it back y to life to this day. This is the perfect example of a music app done right; it's a perfect recreation of the hardware at a fraction of the cost! All knobs and buttons react nicely to touch and the sound quality is really unbelievable. It doesn't try to be everything; it's an analog beatbox done perfectly right.

I've always been a musician, but have only recently gotten into electronic music. I bought this on a whim, and I have to say, I've been hugely impressed. This is definitely a ton of fun, but also extremely useful as an actual instrument. Definitely 5 stars! Oh, and everyone is lamenting a lack of song recording or export options, but under "settings" there is an option to record your music, which is saved as a ".wav" file. Not sure if that is what everyone is looking for but it is sufficient for my needs! Keep more Korg apps coming!

This is really great- basically a wonderfully well functioning digital replication of the Electribe that can serve as a try-before-you-buy the real deal kind of thing or as a well functioning rhythm box that can be used live! Now that you guys have proven that you can outdo yourselves right out of the gate, any chance we can see the Kaossilator get the same treatment? Pretty please?
