The app was GREAT and well worth the cost until the latest update (4/27). Now the video freezes constantly and the video quality (which was great) is well below average and most of the time not worth watching. I loved watching games on my iPad but now it is almost impossible. Please fix.

The app worked great until the update yesterday (4/26) now the video feed freezes or cuts out. Also, the app let's the screen dim and sleep.

Bought this to watch games on MLB.tv but it hasn't worked 9 out of ten times....overall the most disappointing app I've purchased. Quits updating randomly making you miss innings at a time, the audio hasn't worked once, and without being able to watch the games with the MLB.tv feature it's basically the same quality you can get from espn.com's gamecast. I recommend saving your 15 bucks and open safari go to espn.com and you got what this app gives you. Apps should have a refund policy for pieces of crap like this.

While the app itself is good. There are a few things that are misrepresented and I demand my money back. Directly from MLB FAQ: "Will archives of completed games be shown in At Bat™ 2010? No. Currently archives of Live games will not be available in At Bat™. However, Condensed Games showing all the key pitches of the game will be available." This is wholeheartedly a false statement. Cutting off in 6th inning tied is hardly showing all key pitches. I was led to believe the condensed highlights were part of the package. What they should say is that a condensed version of the condensed version is available. In other words, the condensed versions are approx 16min in length. We get access to exactly half that amount. Shortly after the 8min mark, that's it it's done. You're outta luck. This is ridiculous. I can guarantee I will never purchase this again. While MLB may have fooled us this year and raised the price 50% as a bonus, they'll be regretting that foolish decision come 2011. Buyer beware!!! One ticked off consumer here.

It's bad enough that they charge you 15 bucks for each version (phone/pod or iPad) but it just doesnt work at all. Don't buy it!!!

Opening Day. Buggy, very slow even though I have high speed internet, very poor picture quality, and crashes. Iphone app a little better on Ipad but not pleased with either one. $30 loss. 4/28/10 update: slightly improved but a waste of money. DO NOT switch from direct TV to MLB.com. At Bat is slow to update, has several glitches, freezes, loses games, can't show some games, frequently has poor quality video and MLB support either ignores the problems or lies. Never again. They lost a devoted fan.

Not only did MLB pull a fast one by charging another $14.99 for the ipad version but the video quality is still poor. Even with a 20 mbps broadband pipe, the video streaming quality and reliability is terrible compared to the PC Come on MLB - fix this asap.

The updates are great. Only complaint is the lag between radio and gameday. I hate watching what happens on gameday and then gearing the call 10 seconds later on the radio. Please fix this.

Is is by far the best app to track your champions, the Rays on! Great new features for the iPad - just keep clicking on icons and play around to discover new info. Still needs work on audio, video and live at bat info - but to check and follow games - this is really good. Either watch screen or listen; screen is ahead of live feed.

I'm writing this hoping that this app will improve soon (like before the season's over) because it has a lot of potential. First the good: *nice interface *streaming audio works well *video highlights work well *team preferences automatically shows you what you're looking for *news and standing sections *option to play background audio through safari (fake multitasking) However, there are a number of crucial problems that prevent me from giving it more than two stars: *gameday display does not work - it displays no information as if the game were not in progress (for every team, every time) *no expanded stats such as league leaders or team stats - since these are present on mlb.com, it seems like they should be included here *no game wrap up videos in the video highlight section - something that's present in the online video highlights section, but missing from the app. I would really like to see this included because, even though there's the condensed game, it's nice to be able to get a short, 2-3 minute summary. I haven't been able to test the streaming video since I'm not an mlb.tv subscriber, but I haven't had any problems with the videos in the highlights section. While I try not to be too critical of apps since it's a new platform, this was featured during the iPad introduction so it should be much more polished.

Definitely a great app with lots of potential with updates. Slightly over priced for the few bugs that remain. My biggest complaint is without a doubt the fact that gameday audio doesn't sync with the gameday pitch-by-pitch graphic, the graphic is generally 2-3 pitches ahead of the audio. For someone who doesn't have cable I definitely enjoy being able to watch one random game/day in it's entirety, I find the video to be consistently solid, nice HD picture. If your home market team wasn't blacked out I'd consider buying into the mlb.tv package, however I enjoy the home market audio stream just as well. Not a bad purchase as far as apps go and I have high hopes that mlb will make improvements as the season progresses.

The Gameday pitch-by-pitch feature doesn't work for me and no one is willing to help me. App support link takes you to mlb mobile which won't give me an answer and tells me to contact Apple. Fix the app and I'll give it 5 stars.

Until they add archived games this app is just a big waste of my money. Because I am blacked out from my teams games even though I live over 500 miles away. Got me again MLB, congrats

This is the best app on the iPhone. The iPad version has promise but isn't there yet. It's missing features and video is still a bit unreliable. But once the kinks are worked out, it's gonna look beautiful on this big screen.

For those who haven't read all the reviews, here's how this works: 1.) You pay MLB.TV $119 to subscribe for the whole season. If you subscribe to Sports Illustrated when you buy your membership you bring the price down to $99. You can cancel the SI subscription afterwards without penalty and still save the $20. 2.) You buy the iPad app for $14.99 and it can stream games to your iPad (blackouts based on region apply) 3.) If you have an iPhone, you need to spend another $14.99 to get your subscription on that device. 4.) Your subscription can be linked to a PS3 for free, and allows you to watch games on your Mac or PC at no extra charge, in HD. In short, I think it's worth it. I'm an Angels fan living in Boston and I can now catch up on the Angels games just about anywhere I go. The down side is that something is wrong with the 3G streaming. Whether the app is downgrading because of the bandwidth, or AT&T is limiting the quality because it's a video stream, I can't be certin. I understand that delays are inevitable, the audio from the radio broadcasts really need to sync up with Gameday better. As with the iPhone version, the audio is always several pitches behind, and many times a batter behind. The radio broadcast is always spoiled by the Gameday stats. Im do appreciate Gameday being so close to live, but I'd prefer to sacrifice that so the better experience of the radio broadcast is not spoiled.

App crashes while listening to Gameday Audio over 3G. Doesn't appear to crash using WiFi. If they can fix the crashes this will be a wonderful app.
