This does not allow you to use the same ping name for both your iPad and iPhone. For those of us who already have used this on the iPhone, we can't use both devices with the same screen name, which makes this one redundant.

You cant use the same Name on the iPhone and iPad! I wrote to the Support, the answer was: Its not a Feature yet!!!

This version makes you create another user ID if you already use this on your iPhone. So you have to get all your friends to add another account and then they don't know what account yo use to reach you. Totally useless until this problem is resolved. Ping! Has been buggy in the past, but this problem has no work around!

I bought Ping! for the iPad but it's missing quite a few features from the one from the iPhone.. Like Linking your Contact prior to them replying back to you, that was nice. Also, Push Notification seems broken.. I don't get any Push with it but I get it with Ping for the iPhone on the same iPad device.. Awaiting for those fixes and then star rating should go up.. UPDATE: unregistering, deleting the app, registering again seemed to have fixed push notifications.. So a bug maybe..

I first downloaded this app for my iPhone when it first came out. Loved it from the start. Bought the iPad the day the wi/fi one came out. First app I looked for was Ping! It's great for the iPad. I found a slight problem with it. One being that when I added a person while in landscape mode, then tried pinging the person, I lost the input window. It is easily fixed by going to portrait mode then back to landscape. I pinged one of the support guys about it and they already know about the problem. He said they're just waiting on Apple to approve the upgrade with fixes. Support is right on top of things. I like the wood looking background and what looks like torn edges on the paper the pings are on. Since there is no way to SMS on the wifi iPad, Ping! is the best alternative I've found.

Love it on iPhone. Pointless on anything else if you cannot use the same ID. It looks gorgeous but until I can login using multiple devices it only receives an average rating. Take a leaf out of other IM's book and log me out of my iPhone if I try to login via my iPad.

It's a little silly to put this app out without supporting your existing users on the iPhone. Until I can use the same username on both this app is about as much use as a chocolate tea-pot. Why would all my friends and family want to add me twice with different user names and how will they know what device I am currently using? Come on developers, sort this out please....

Tried to create a new I'd for the iPad version, kept asking if I was sure I wanted to use the name, saying it'll be linked to my phone number....WHAT number? Then it doesn't give you an "OK" button, only a "cancel". Yeah, right. NOT ready for release, huh? Wasted $3.00!

Still cannot use the App with another previous ping name from iPhone. I will not be using this app until i can!!! as different IDs for the same app is making things more complicated than it needs to be, one account for both devices would make this a cool app in conjunction with the iPhone app. Until then........
