This version of super monkey ball is much better than the one for iPhone. This one helps you have better control of the monkey that you play with. Also very nice graphics and easier to control with. I LOVE IT!!!!

A full blown Monkey Ball for the iPad. This definitely has a slew of the features not in the iPhone/iPod Touch version. This is pretty much a release on the feature and detail level of the non-Portable console releases. The mini games are updated for the touch controls and are just as fun as before. The main game looks much closer to the console versions except for these being new levels. There's also the extra details, for which the iPhone version didn't have, like having your character and the ball he/she's in in 3D. Seeing the ball spin with your movement makes a heap of difference in helping you determine your current acceleration. This makes it much easier to see what you're doing enhancing your control. Making this a whole new game instead of an iPhone port was probably the best move SEGA made with this game. A very good job. It's great when a launch title decides to go ahead and support the iPad hardware in line with its capabilities. The increased graphics doesn't slow the game down. It's fast and shows some of the extra muscle the iPad has over it's smaller cousins.

I was skeptical to spend $10 bucks on this game. I played the XBox version way back when and I just couldn't see how well or how accurate it would work on the iPad. After two minutes of playing it I was hooked! I couldn't put it down! It works extremely well on the iPad--it's very accurate/precise. I bought several games at launch date, including Command and Conquer, Civilization Revolution, Dungeon Hunter HD, Tetris and a few others. While the other games are good in their own rights, Civilization Revolution in particular, this game far is my favorite. And if you take public transportation like I do to go to work, play this game and it will just "wow" anyone near you who see you go crazy with the game. Plus, it showcases the iPad's big screen and graphics capibilities in 3D. It's a well adopted game for the iPad. Great job SEGA!

I have played the super monkey ball 1 & 2 for iPhone and I love them! But this game brings it to a extreme new level! The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is super comfortable! And I love the new monkey target :D Great job developers! Totally made me love my iPad :D

I never played the iphone version of this game and always kinda sucked at the gamecube one, but the gameplay mechanics with the iPad accelerometers are a perfect match and make this version very fun! It's great that the iPads screen has such a wide viewing angle, because you will use all of it trying to keep that little monkey going the right way.

My son has thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. We have played various SMB games on consoles and handhelds, this is the most connected you can be to the gameplay and it is easily the best version.

Awesome game, packed with lots of creative levels that fully utilize the ipads high-res screen. Also has some very fun and well thought out mini games that really help justify the price. This game seems a lot more engaging on the bigger device!

It's a decent port of an old favorite, but the frame-rate definitely stutters. I'll chalk at up to this just being a launch title and I hope sega patches the game at a later point. As it plays now the jerky frame-rate is distracting enough to make me regret my purchase.

Okay well I have this on my gamecube and it is a great game that you should think about buying,it would be worth every cent...IF YOU HAD AN IPAD!....Which is what my problem is about.I have an ipod touch and you see all I saw when I hit buy was ''Super Monkey Ball 2:Sakura Edition'' Soooo that means that it'll probably not work but I'll see,in the mean time if you have an ipad you should consider buying it!

I have played SMB on every platform it is available on and this is hands down the best version. The control is spot on. This is a great tech demo for people that don't get the iPad. My only gripe is the cost. This game is worth the money but it concerns me that so many apps are in this range, it makes me much more selective in my purchases. Having said that this game will not disappoint and has plenty of replay value.

Though I DID take the time to learn to use the iPhone version, and eventually did beat it, I always felt that the controls were FAR too sensitive. For this reason, I never even bothered to purchase the second version for the iPhone. I didn't feel that I had the time to invest in learning the controls of an overly sensitive game. Where Sega went very wrong on the iPhone, they went right on the iPad. The controls are much better. Instead of flying off the screen when you have a barely perceptable twitch of the hand (as with the iPhone) you are able to stay on track in this game. Great music, amazing graphics (as many iPad games seem to come with) and just an all around fun game.

I enjoy this graphics are great, however when i play and then exit the app and come back it makes me start the world over again which is annoying, also I'm glad you brought in monkey target, but with only one level a. it's really dull and boring, and b. i dont want to have to touch the middle of the ball to open it, i want to touch anywhere on the screen to open the ball, other then those adjustments to be made, glad i purchased i really enjoy!

I beat this game on 1 charge on the iPad I was able to beat every level. the graphics are ok allittle jerky but usable. I would give it. 5 stars if the graphics were allittle better and their was more levels. But it's pretty good besides from those little things.

GOOD: -Controls are fine. -Graphics are very pleasant. -Game play is fun BAD: -Length: games should average about 1-2 hours of game play for every $2 spent but this one is probably closer to $3 an hour ratio. -Mini games were pointless. Golf was okay but the other 3 were not really an addition -Difficulty was A bit lacking. It was close to where it should have been but not quite there. -Price was high at $10 ADVICE: If you love marble games like this one and you don't mind minimal over spending than this will be good if $ is an issue than wait for a sale. If it is sold for $6-8 it will be perfect.
