This update is worse than the update of Febuary 09. I takes 3min to refresh if you have a lot of TV shows on your list and it won't update a single listing. It says (Cannot Get TV Shows). When they fix this, I will give the app 5 stars!

This app does a great job of telling be when my favorite shows are on next and when they where last on. I use the desktop widget too. Just wish the two would sync so I don't have to remember to add a show to both.

I've been using TV Forecast since it was just a free Apple Widget. And the day it came out as an iPhone app, I was first in line to pay for it. Not only is it one of my most used apps, but the Developer is one of those rare breeds who is not only friendly but responsive to customer suggestions. While this works without a hitch on my iPad, I'd be the first to pay for it all over again.

I love the app been using the desktop version for a while but the UI needs to be fixed. When deleting a show from the list the user is presented with a red x instead of a red dash like all other programs. When you hit the x the show is gone automatically with no conformation like any other app. This destroys the consistency across the rest of the iPhone UI where when you hit the red dash it asks for a conformation. The problem is when a user accidently deletes a show. Yes a the user can re-add the show but it is a multistep process where as just asking for a conformation would prevent the user from having to go through multiple steps. It would make life easier for the user especially if they have sausage fingers and consistently hit the wrong button because of their larger digits or for people who have bad eyesight and accidently hit the wrong button. Yes they can add the show again, but why should they if the developer can just update the app to ask if the user is sure they want it deleted.I give it only 3 stars based on this missing function because it is something that should have been thought out of prior to the app shipping.

I've tried a variety of TV apps (and widgets) and this is the only one that both works flawlessly and has a clean interface. I'll take this opportunity to respond to one of the bad reviews I saw which blames the app for displaying "Friday Night Lights" as TBA when the show is currently running. The app doesn't display reruns (as far as I know none do). "Friday Night Lights" is a joint venture with Direct TV and NBC. It shows first on Direct TV in the Fall then NBC in the Summer, hence the app is correctly showing that the next new episode is TBA (for Direct TV) because all episodes showing on NBC are re-runs.

You'd think there'd be other apps out there that would do that too, but the others I've tried (some free and some not) either crashed all the time, wouldn't list all my favorite shows, or didn't list the right upcoming dates or times for shows. It loads and runs well (at least on an iPhone 4), it has a well-designed interface, and it's easy to use. It falls a half star short of five stars for me because it doesn't do push notifications of upcoming episode showtimes, although it does do email notifications. Note that it lists only when the next new episode of a show will air for the first time. So, if you're tracking a cable show like True Blood that airs a number of times each week, it will tell you the next new episode will air the next upcoming Sunday at 9 pm, but it won't list every time that episode will air afterwards until another new episode airs the following Sunday. It reminds you of when a new episode of a show will be on, so you don't find yourself saying, "Hey, I forgot [fill on the blank] was on last night," which is all I'm looking for. You won't be as happy as i am with this app if you're looking for more.

I can't believe all the good reviews for this app. It shows most of my favorite shows' dates as "to be announced," even though they are currently airing. For instance Friday Night Lights has a new episode on tonight but TV Forecast has it under tba. It also never has information available about episodes of shows. Every other tv app seems to be able to give me that! Please don't waist your money on this app like I did.

I've been enjoying the webapp version all year. The only new feature this app brings to the table over the webapp is the ability to see the previous show. If I wanted an app that only worked with an active Internet connection, I would stick with the webapp.

This app was amazing at one point. Now it seems like none of my TV shows are ever updated with episode descriptions (I think the website they fetch data from is awful). It would also be nice if we can go back at any point in the series history to read episode descriptions.

A few weeks back I would have said this is just about a perfect app for what it does (episode summaries don't seem to work most of the time, but that is a small gripe). However, there was a period of about three weeks where I could not update any of my schedules (making the app useless). Now it seems to be working again... Assuming it keeps working, I will increase my rating. I would hesitate to suggest the app to anyone at the moment. Check back in a week or two if you are on the fence about this one. I'll try to remember to update my review :) Update: Not working most of the time. DO NOT BUY.
