I love this gps app, it's better than the tomtom which I have also, but two things it could use is 1, louder volume, I have the Magellan car kit and the sound still isn't quite loud enough, even with the volume turned all the way up, if I have the radio on forget about it, can barely here it at all then. And 2 is a given, need live traffic, Other than that is all good. Good work Boss!

As a long time magellan user, I've always wanted their other app, but it seemed overpriced. This option is much more affordable. Nav apps shouldn't cost as much as a gps. I've had the app for a day. So far, it's been awesome. Feels really cool to have everything on my iphone. I love the OneTouch searchs. I loaded it up with my banks and restaurants. It's definitely made finding the places I need to go much easier. The UI is great. Super easy to use and it gives me all the functionality of my old magellan gps + more. There are a few things I don't like about it though. - I wish the voices were louder. It doesn't ruin the drive, but it's definitely not as loud as my music (music player is great.) - I wish there was traffic. I guess I can wait for it, but it better be less than $20 for life. I'm not a fan of TomTom's $20 a year. - The keyboard is a little weird. Other than these little annoyances, the app is solid. I Ran a days worth of errands and it got me there and back, pain free and happy.

I have a late 2009 32gb iTouch and the Magellan Premium Car Kit w/ GPS. 39.99 is a great price for the app and so far it works as described. The kit ($125) and the app work better than my 3yr Garmin nuvi. GPS has come a long way in 3 years. All in all about the same price as a PND and much more convienient.

As a Magellan GPS owner, the user interface is so intitutive to me. With this USA app, removing Canada which i would never ues, totally makes sense!

There are so many options but I finally plunked down the money to purchase this application. I have an older GPS Unit that has done it's job well. But the maps are out of the date. It would have cost me more to update the maps on my GPS unit. So far, I have not had a problem. PROS: Love the Interface (older GPS unit is very ancient), Turn by Turn, One Touch ( I had to type everything on my older unit), It's on my I-Phone. CONS: Not loud enough, I drove to a gas station based on POI, I arrived only to find that the gas station was demolished. What's up with that?

My Roadmate froze up on a trip, so I purchased this app for my iPhone. The good: it's easy to use and it's nice to have turn-by-turn instructions. BAD: it does downright stupid things, like presenting a route that takes you off a main road for a block or two, and then back onto the same road. You can ignore it, and it'll do it again. I believe this is a software bug in the app, not the low accuracy of the iPhone GPS since the "detour" is part of the plan. This is more than the annoyances I've experienced with my Roadmate. I'd like to be able to compare it Tom Tom's app, but I'm too cheap to buy another GPS app.

We would like a refund for the Magellan Roadmate 2010 USA app we purchased. There are enough bugs that it makes the product too unreliable to use while traveling. Specifically: 1) The GPS sensing is too slow, and we were often PAST the intersection before it told us to turn, 2) We were driving straight down the freeway, as instructed, and about half way to our next turn, it simply decided to recalculate the route, 3) It was selecting some very random routes to travel (we happened to know our way around Los Angeles enough to know that staying on the freeway was better), 4) it inconsistently announced when we reached our destination (I would hate to be by myself, in the car at night, trying to find an address I was unfamiliar with). The app is Magellan Roadmate 2010 USA v 1.2.1. We had it loaded on an iPhone 3GS. Per the Magellangps website, we asked Apple for a complete refund by "reporting a problem" that the product "did not work as expected". Apple's response: "Talk to the manufacturer". Tried to submit another problem report, but Apple won't allow this. Magellan's response: "We do not give refunds at this time; contact Apple". So now what?? Does anyone have any suggestions?

This app is great. simple to use, integrated music function with one touch controls. The best GPS app out there. It's link having a full function GPS with you at all times. I can't think of anything it's missing, Get it now.

Love the fact that the magellan app is tied to my iphone address book. It much much better than the native gps mapping app of the iPhone and it has all the features and ease of use that I need. I would highly recommend.

Save your money, this app is worthless. When trying to use "Contacts" it replies "the address from Contacts cannot be used. Please re-check it or enter it manually. The App gives you no clue what’s wrong with the Contact's format or where the error is located. Magellan should have a free Contacts App, that reviews your data in your contact list and allows you to edit your contacts so they comply with this App’s format. If I wanted to manually enter the data I would have purchase a stand-a-lone GPS. Audio level is low, but I think that’s a Iphone issue. Now I just need a way to get a refund! ! !

Has anyone else had a problem with the Magellan RoadMate 2010 USA app not saving your POI settings (Menu -> Settings -> Map -> POI on Map)? An example, the default has Coffee, Gas and Restaurants checked. But if you change them, quit the app and relaunch it later it goes back to the default POI's. It's rather annoying since I don't like any POI's on, especially every gas station, fast food and Starbucks. Until that bug is fixed I won't waste my time giving this app. a comprehensive review.

This application is awesome. I made the transition from my Tomtom to this product and it has performed beyond my expectations. So easy to use with its integrated music and one touch controls - it couldn't be better. The UI is a great and it can't get any better with the convenience from my iPhone. I would certainly recommend this product.

Built in music controls, one touch is good. user interface is comfortable and this app has car recognition intelligence which helped me to find my car in shopping mall parking lot saving my time. As this map is in the iphone, using the pedestrian mode in new places is simple and don't look wearied rather carrying the bulky gps unit. So far, the only feature missing is speed limits on highways and local street roads. As speed limit is shown only on interstates, once you got off the interstate and you don't know the exact local speed limit, there is a chance for accidents and speeding tickets.

Been using for about a week, so far it works great for me. Originally I had problems getting voice directions, but all I had to do to fix that was remove the app, restart my iPhone, and re-sync. Btw I'm using a 3G, and while I don't doubt that the compass on the 3GS helps alot, this works well for me anyway, so don't be scared by that. I also have the car kit, and personally I think it's pretty cool too.
