Just got done playing the first three levels and this game is insanely good, a bargain at its current price. Overall there are 8 "story mode" levels that each take place in one big city where you navigate section by section trying to make it out alive against multiple types of attacking zombies. Now this is a dual stick top down shooter but there is no actual shooting involved on the players part. Instead you carry a flashlight that when shined on zombies your character will open fire automatically. The system works perfectly as it targets the closest zombie in the flashlights range but you as the player are more accurate if you stand still, rather than running around trying to dodge enemies that could come at you from any direction. Every corner that you turn in the game will feel unique as the game is very well polished. The random lighting effects that light up the area revealing your surroundings for a split second are some of the best I ever seen from the app store! Sound effects are spot from the zombies to the weapons themselves being fired or the constant rain overall the sound effects really keep the mood of the game high. The graphics are average and I feel as if they could have been a little bit better in some areas. Another minor annoyance is the lack of an actual story in the game. I am still to this moment wondering what the hell happened, as you start the game off in an alley way with a flash light. The only text that goes up in the game is the level name and objectives for what to do next. There are enough zombie types and weapons scattered around to keep the player coming back for more after story mode is over to play in the Survivor Mode. I have yet to play it but it is the final mission in the game and I assume it is just like any other zombie survivor mode out there. With Open Feint leaderboards in the game there is more than enough replay value. Overall this is my new personal favorite dual stick top down shooter on the app store. Honestly this game seems like it should be priced higher, get it while it is on sale! 5/5 stars! - And to the DEV, please add on some extra levels in updates everything is perfect, a new city to explore would be awesome.

Don't mistake this for just another wanna be dual stick shooter. This game is mission based and takes place in a big open city. It has a survival mode after you finish the story, and every mission including the survival mode mission had global leader boards. Great graphics and lighting -- wait till you see the rain and lightning. It also has great sound. Really there is nothing to complain about. Buy this game!

You can never get bored of zombies, they are simply the best.. The controls are pretty good, runs smooth. Kinda has a slight left4dead appeal (zombie characteristics) but its an all around good game. Note to dev: the block shadows that appear on when lightning strikes is kinda a turnoff. But other than that this game gives me the chubs. Keep working on this game and dont sell out like all the other independent game devs. Put time into making this game great.

The lighting engine in play does an excellent job, for a handheld game system. Monster spawn rates could use some tweaking. A weapon select screen before entering the level would also be really useful.

I never review games. But I really enjoy this one. Simple gameplay is what I like Esp for an iPhone - touch game. Beautiful settings for the eye and great sounds. Def a must for zombie Game fans. Buy it while it's cheap

Nicely done. The environment and character animation remind me of GTA: Chinatown though not as detailed. The lighting effects are very nice, the controls are responsive and well implemented, gameplay is simple but challenging (particularly after the second level). Open Feint integration, well designed menus, and autosave add that extra level of polish. The only concern is that the story mode is likely short, thought survival mode should give it plenty of replayability. You could compare this to Alive4Ever, but it's amazing the difference lighting and perspective make: here zombies can actually take you by surprise, which for me is the one thing that makes them scary in the first place. Still, it doesn't feel cheap, and even thought it took me at least 8 tries to make it through level 3, I had plenty of incentive to give it one more go. It's not without its faults (what is?), but this is shaping up to be one the big surprises of the year.

Love this game. It has a left4dead feel mixed with the boxhead series (a java based isometric shooter). You basically walk around with the left stick and point the flashlight and adjust the camera with the right stick. Anytime a zombie enters the cone of light that your flashlight emits, your character fires his gun and aims at the closest zombie. I wasn't sure how I felt about the autofire at first but it definitely works. Everything else about the game feels very polished and you get this feeling that the devs showed it alot of love. The graphics and lighting effects are great and the controls feel tight and responsive. While you walk around the levels, lightning strikes and lights up the entire area and blood splatter from the zombies covers the ground.. All nice touches. Grab the game now while they have the sale going on and support the devs. I really don't think I'll ever be sick of zombies and zombie based games - and this game helps solidify that fact.

Good all Round game. With plenty of suspense and action. And the dynamic lighting fx are really good. Would have liked it to have been a little less frustrating during level 3. It was really difficult for me! And the story is almost nonexistant. Maybe these problems can be fixed in a future update?

Very few people have played this yet & i'm glad to be one of the first! Worth the buck for sure!!! Great job on this devs, let's see some great updates and sequel! Difficult gameplay, strategy, quick thinking, autofire is well done, this is the first app using this kind of lighting and done beutifully. Entertaining and frustrating, decent replayability. Get this app.

First, you'd be a fool to pass this up at 99 cents. One of the best zombie games in the app store. A new idea for a top down shooter that works amazingly. The graphics are just perfect and the use of lighting sets a perfect atomosphere. Second, I'd love to see more levels and more diversity in the levels. Coop would also take this to a whole new level. It's hard to complain for the price, but there's so much potential that I'd love to see this grow into a $9.99 game. Keep it up.
