	GoodReader does work, in that it provides the functionality described. However, it has a very clumsy, unfinished feel to it which seems out of place on the generally polished, carefully-designed iPad. It will get the job done, but you probably won't enjoy using it. (Note: I am an app developer, but I do not compete with GoodReader and have no plans to in the future. This is just my personal opinion after using the product.)

	it really, really needs the ability to highlight and annotate. it's a great reader otherwise, but the ability to highlight and take notes is important if you are dealing with academic articles.

	GoodReader is a great app, and an even greater deal at the intro price of 99 cents... Fills a much-needed gap in the iPad's functionality- that being PDF support. I use this app many times a day, and it's really well designed. On top of that, their support team is incredibly responsive and receptive to suggestions. A great product that will only get better. Just a quick update: The 3 updates since I originally wrote this review have only made this app better and better. A few annoying UI bits that I wrote in to Yuri about have been addressed! Fantastic product, fantastic support!

	Since I had a iTouch I've been using Goodreader. Never had a single complain and actually I always was surprised by great upgrades. I have to say that the deva are on top of this application making constant upgrades. When iPad was on the horizon I emailed them about having two pages on the screen and they responded promptly saying that 2 pages on the screen is soon to come. This is really a great app. I don't have a single complain. I can only extremely recommend it.

	This is an outstanding app, particularly on the iPad. Works exactly as described, and its display of all attachments in emails is fantastic. I really like the ability to save documents and open in GoodReader, whether from MobileMe, Dropbox, etc., which makes this app an essential addition. Developer - the next step would be adding the ability to upload folders of files via FTP, photographs for example, which have been saved to the iPad. This would make the GoodReader app magical and revolutionary...

	After having GoodReader for iPhone for quite awhile, it was pretty much a no-brainer to buy what I bought before for $9.99 on sale for 1/10th of the price. Goodreader iPad has all the same great features as its iPhone counterpart. File management, Dropbox access, even access to mail attachments. There's a reason that this App is icon #3 on my iPad. I don't think I'd have an iPad if there was no GoodReader version.

	I just downloaded 190 plus files to my iPad in no time. This is a great app. I would love to see two things happen. First, it would be great if the pop up that tells you the file is being downloaded and warns screen may freeze could have a "don't show me this again" vs " remind me" buttons. This button has cost me 190 plus taps so far today. Second, it would be great if I could open a folder then browse and have downloaded files go into the open folder instead of having to cut and paste from home folder. I have no idea if these things are possible but they would make GoodReader even better. It is apps like this one that make it possible to leave the pricier 3G iPad and the store and almost not miss it. Thank you for a great app!

	GoodReader could easily become the file management software of choice for the iPad, but I still need to use AirSharing HD to fill in the gaps. Most importantly, GoodReader only allows the downloading of single files from external servers, at least as far as I can see. This can be a real pain if you have a lot of files or a folder to bring over to your iPad from Dropbox or other servers. Also, as others have mentioned GoodReader needs to provide configured support for SugarSync, which has replaced Dropbox as my "cloud" server of choice (cheaper, better sync features, etc). GoodReader could also make numerous small improvements to its interface. Otherwise it's a great app that is stable and handles file reading very well.

	transferring files via itune is super ,,, however, am giving this app three stars though its so active and so easy and effective to use for the following : 1- opening an office dox file or pages file seems not as fluent as pdf for some reason 2- the search option in pdf is so weak and poor and searching a large pdf for a term gonna take long time with less then expected results 3- simple tools like pdf functionality such as hi-light or copying ... other apps like iannotator give this tools which is quite interesting and useful and i guess this app is by far more functional so plz work on that features 4- two pages view in landscape is a wish 5- any chance of opening other extensions like CHM, PdB ?? this is why am satisfied with three stars ,,, but truly its app that every ipad should carry

	GoodReader is a steal. The iTunes USB transfer is extremely fast. 100MB PDFs move over in seconds. The WiFi WEBDAV server couldn't be easier to use. If there's one thing the iPhoneOS is missing it's a filesystem with folders accessible to the apps. GoodReader gives that back - at least for reading media, MOVs and images. I've spent many hours reading PDFs with GoodReader and it does a fine job. I agree with others comments about making page turning easier but it's not bad as it is. I'd also like to have a two-up view in landscape mode. Loading up a 50MB PDF with hi-res graphics appears to be no-problem. If you move over a directory of images (via WiFi, doesn't seem the iTunes will let you move a directory), GoodReader will let you flip through the images by swiping and can run a slide show. The slide/picture transition times are a little pokey but it's still very usable. You can also copy over whole directory hierarchies of HTML and it reads nicely. This has turned out to be a great way to take my Circus Ponies Notebooks with me (man-o-man I hope they build an iPad version of one of my most cherished desktop apps). Just export the notebook as a web site and blam: it's all there, attachments, expanding/contracting bullet, and images. Kudos to you Good iWare.

	I rarely write reviews, but frequently (and selfishly) rely on other users' reviews before buying an app or especially hardware. I'm particularly motivated to review GoodReader for iPad so positively because it is so functional, stable & elegantly implemented as well as very reasonably priced. GoodReader handles pdf files flawlessly. They look like the original pdf file. GoodReader provides lots of tools to navigate and manage the file, including loads of clickable links to referenced sections w/in pdf files, which makes document navigation a snap. You can also password protect files and folders on GoodReader so I have no qualms about storing account statements and tax returns on my iPad. I also like to store some user guides for tech gear for which I am forever forgetting how to use their subtler functions (like for my digital SLR). Files sync easily and directly through iTunes when the iPad is connected to your Mac. You can select practically any type of file directly in it's stored location on your Mac and sync directly onto the iPad. For eg, I happen to like pps slide shows, which loose some functionality by syncing as long, scrollable pictures, but still retain enough elegance and clarity to remain enjoyable. All in all, one of the best and reasonably intuitive utility apps available for the iPad. It even provides polite dialog boxes to correct mistakes you might make in managing files. Highly recommended!

	It's exactly what it says, a good reader. Not a great one, just good. The graphics and interface are nice, but it would be nicer to have multiple open PDFs at once that you can switch between with a tabbed interface. I guess the tabbed views would be the closest thing to human multitasking with an iPad. I requested this feature but have yet to hear from them. I only paid $0.99 for this app, so not a big loss, but i ended up splurging on iAnnotate PDF for $7 which offers multiple open tabbed PDFs that you can switch between in a flash and the ability to write notes in the PDF files.

	Views multiple file types, File transfers work great, easy to move files around & organize. I've been using the app for about a month now to view PDF files and it has worked just fine. Imagine my surprise when I accidentally hit an attachment in an email file (a zip file containing wood docs) and it gave me the option to unzip into GoodReader, which put all the files in it's own folder. Not a feature I was even aware of, but am now glad it's there. Score one more point for this app!

	Previous review reflects a desire for it to be easier to use. Yes, that would be nice too. But at least it is nearly a functional tool for displaying PDF files. I bought and installed 4 that couldn't even do that. Basic functionality seems to be a challenge with many of these apps. This surpasses basic functionality and actually makes it usable too. I'm certain the next rev will be awesome as it is evident that they aren't relying on us buying the trash and then throwing it away (what I have done with the other 4). This one got actual productive use in 10 secs after installation. The others didn't get to that point after hours of vested time each.
