Here's the deal people. The iphone has a camera and can take pictures just fine. Don't be mad because the very specific use of this app doesn't apply to you. Here's what the app does, and does quickly: take a picture of a document, remove as much "noise" as possible, and output a fax quality document. That's all. It does it well and email was exactly like using the iPhone mail. The output is not inspiring, but until fax quality documents are no longer acceptable for business use, the app will be a viable tool. All I care about is that when someone receives my "scanned" doc, they will think I used a crappy Brother fax to scan it, because the hood of my truck and unnecessary color and shadows have been removed. Ps I didnt try the other apps that do the same thing, but don't need to if this app keeps doing what it does. I'll keep that $3 thank you.

I would never get this app, if I would not get a promo code. Well, if you'd try it, you would realize that the only thing it does - gets photos and edits them... There are free apps available to be able to do this. Why doesn't Apple force developers to put trial version along with the paid version? UI is somewhat confusing, especially with 3-pictures function. Good luck with sales and thank you for the code.

Had a difficult time finding a reasonably priced scanner for my iphone until now. TurboScan does as advertised and does it easily. I especially like the ability to send the scanned doc as a .pdf in addition to a .jpeg. This app will get five stars from me when they incorporate the ability to fax (or in the iphones case - print). Thanks for the introductory price......

This is fairly sharp and crisp scanning tool. Utillizing 3 images to get the best image possible to reduce noise. I would say 90% of my scans were very legible and probably could be reconpiled through and OCR program. And here lies the rub. It could be a superb app if it had the OCR, but for the price you can not beat the quality. Very low light situations resulted in above average results compared to just taking one photo with the camera. The quick ability to send the scan to your email as a PDF or JPEG is very nice, so you don't have to jump through hoops to get your results to yourself. Not quite sure why you need to send a PDF because it is still just an embeded JPEG in the pdf. I guess it saves you the step of having to take your JPEG, save it as a PDF in something like Photoshop, and then run OCR in Adobe Acrobat Pro.Overall Pixoft delivers a sharp crisp scans to you in a logical manner. You determine what you do next with the results.

I have been using this app for a little while now and so far so good. Work like described and my scans using my 3gs are clear. I have used the scans a few times already to submit to work for expenses. I can see this being a great help to those that have to submit expense reports for work. Great job on the app!

Best quality images of receipts of any "scanning" app I've tried (using 3G w/ Griffin Clarifi lense case), quick & easy to adjust brightness, etc. Makes sending expense reports by email a snap!

This is a highly efficient new scanner system. It's quite easy for user to collect information which from some issues, such as newspaper, magazine, and so on. If it have function of Optical Character Recognition will be better for more user.

Here's my review: Turbo scan does an excellent job of creating b&w images from photos. The words are crisp and clean. The processing is very fast. I would like to see an improvement in the automatic edge selection (but this is merely a convenience) Showing a second view of the document while the user selects a corner is very helpful. Having the b&w adjustments and the rotation option on the processing screen is excellent. Where at the end of the process I have chosen to save the image rather than send it, I would like to be able to open the program, load that image and immediately be able to send it out as a pdf without having to go through the processing a second time with the already prepared image Being able to load an image from the phone is a great feature. Many of us have programs to help us take cleaner shots. Being able to use these programs to take our shots, then load them into the program is a great feature. I would like to see support for multiple page pdfs.

For 1.99$, I can't imagine other functionalities that those other over priced scanning apps may have that I might need. This app worked perfectly for what I needed. Best of all, when you scan your document through this app, the document actually has the visual effect like it's really been scanned through an external scanner. Brilliant. 

Really adds value to the iPhone. Like this phone doesn't do enough already. Now I can scan and email ideas, docs or receipts without ever touching the desktop. Not the greatest scanner. But certainly good enough for 90% of what I would scan.

The most useful app Ive purchased. I use it constantly to email/txt information to friends, family, and employees. Quality could be little better, and its a slight inconvienence to take 3 pictures. Other than that, having this app has been a total life saver and incredibly useful.

I just got back from a trip and needed a quick easy way to turn in some receipts. I downloaded this little gem, took the pics of my receipts. It then allowed me to crop them, and then converted them/edited them to B&W and I was able to directly email them as PDF's. The people who say it's a camera app are partially correct. HOwever it's a camera app that makes it possible to scan something to PDF, or JPEG and then directly fire it into your email app! We all spend $2 on totally stupid stuff... spend your $2 on this if you need or want to just archive documents. No, it's not a scanner.... a scanner is a scanner so don't expect scanner like detail. GREAT APP for what its for!
