If you prefer your pond brighter than the themes that Koi Pond HD comes with, there’s a quick and easy way to brighten them up: in the Pond Editor, select Appearance-> Ambient Color and move the Brightness slider up. Keep in mind that with the Pond Editor you can build whatever kind of pond you prefer – bright and colorful, or dark and murky!

this was one of my first iphone apps, and this ipad version is such an amazing evolution of that app. by far the most beautiful and realistic pond simulator. the customization options are really fun and allow a huge variety of looks. devs did a superb job with the water and fish simulations. overall this is a very soothing, visually pleasing relaxation app - get it, it's completely worth it.

I'm a bit disappointed in the direction you took. It adds power and configurability, but at the expense of ease of use and fun. I suppose I wasn't looking for a "build your own Koi pond" app, but newer interaction methods instead. Consider the food shaker. That's my childrens' favorite part, but the implementation is no different than on the iPhone. The problem is that even for me, shaking the iPad back and forth is awkward & risky. Perhaps a two finger swipe would work better? I also feel the graphics are too low in contrast- overall too dim. I would have expected brighter, more vibrant colors, at least on one of the defaults, to show off the graphic punch of the iPad screen. As for the parameters that were carried over from the iPhone, I didn't like how buried they were tucked underneath the building module. It seems the emphasis of the app truly is on building, not interacting. The build contols were powerful and allowed me to drag and add, resize, rotate, and change depth levels of various objects. Very configurable. I could even alter three light sources, including their color cast. Impressive. I did find, however, that it wasn't intuitive that I must create a new template from the selection palette and not from within the building screen. I'm sorry my review is negative. Normally, I wouldn't bother, but I loved your iPhone app and want to love this one. You've made a very powerful koi pond builder. I just wish it was fun to use.

I keep Koi Pond running on my docked iPad while I'm not using it, just for the wonderful ambiance it creates. It's simple enough to just launch and forget, but with the editor available to create a completely custom pond to suit your own tastes, it's just that much better. One thing I would like to see in a future update is an option to disable standby mode while the app is running; it's just a bit inconvenient having to tap the screen (or a key on a paired keyboard) periodically to keep the app running, or to manually disable standby mode entirely (a bit overkill). Otherwise, Koi Pond is an absolutely beautiful app that has once again earned a spot on my home screen.

Wow. Ya know I was wondering if you guys would make an iPad version of koi pond. You were the first app I ever downloaded on my iPhone and I always used it to show off how cool the device was. This will do the same for the iPad. Thanks so much for all your efforts. It is a gorgeous app. I'm anxious to see if my cat feels the same way. ;)

I am a very excitable person, I Need soothing breaks. Koi pond was one of them for my I-pod. But this... It goes beyond soothing! It gives me a chance to exercise my creative side at the same time. I can believe how authentic it is. Thank you for the time & effort put into it. If you could add a Lilly blossom or even a bud it would be perfect!

This iPad version takes Koi Pond to the next level! The pond editor allows for a ton of user creativity. I can spend hours making my pond just perfect for my liking. It takes a bit of time to get used to using the editor but it's well worth it! All you people who are saying it's too dark, check out their website that has a tutorial on how to use the editor. They have some tips/tricks in there that are really useful.

Really loved the iPhone app but this one I'm very disappointed. Sorry I spent the money. It's too dark, no vibrant colors and the koi are artificial. Their movements are mechanical unlike the iPhone app in which they seemed real. I'll just use my iPhone app on my iPad until you update this one.

Not as bright and cheery as the iPod version. The colors are murky, gloomy and the water movement looks more like a pixel doubling of the iPod version rather than made just for the iPad. It looks very thick compared to my fingers and not as nice now.

I have given people incentives to buy the iPone with this app. The iPad version will also be dynamite when the controls work. They don't now. Won't sell any iPads.
