Description

Well, the Bad Guys are up to their old tricks again! It is your job to stop them! Just kidding. You dont stand a chance.
Omium is a two player shooter where one player controls the ship while the other attempts to blow up the previously mentioned ship with the almighty BAD GUYS.
Take turns controlling the pitiful ship while your powerful opponent unleashes hordes of Bad Guys raining down the screen.
3 Game Modes
Dodge - Dont let a Bad Guy touch your ship Captain, or it is Game Over.
Juggle - Dont let a Bad Guy touch the bottom of the screen Captain, or all hope is lost.
Infinite - They just wont stop! Every enemy that reaches the bottom of the screen instantly warps to the top again. You better shoot em fast Captain!
I dont want to spoil the ending... but the Bad Guys made me: YOU CANNOT WIN, you can only hope to last longer than the your worthy adversary. Good luck!

Omium ditches most preconceived notions about what a shoot 'em up is, and have created a new genre of multiplayer game. We love it in the office. I'd love to see more updates coming including a score system (for each side) based on time played and items hit. Power ups would also be cool, but this is a great store. BTW, the devs earn bonus points for working "the game of life" program as a backdrop to the game.

Besides being one of the best implementations of a shooter in general on Apple's iDevices, this one utilizes the large surface area of the iPad by allowing two players to play the game simultaneously--one creating the enemy ships while the other dodges and shoots them. This is not a particularly deep game, but the ingenuity and simple fun it provides for two is well worth the modest asking price.

This is a simple but fun game. The game plays well and I love the retro look. However...since this is a two player only game I am really surprised with the lack of a competitive scoring system. One player plays the ship and the other player sends out the obstacles and tries to hit player one. The goal is for the player controlling the ship to stay alive as long as possible. Sounds good but since the game doesn't save scores or give the other player a turn at controlling the ship, there really is no point to the game. This game could easily be a five star game but competitive scoring needs to be added. The game should have player one control the ship and once they die save that score. The game should then allow player two to control the ship and once they die save that score. The next screen should bring up both scores and the player that lasted the longest would be the winner. Other additions would be to allow players the ability to enter their names. That way there could be a top ten best games list showing how long a player survived against another. Please make some changes to this game. As is, it just doesn't feel finished.

I think this game truly takes advantage of the iPads size and the screen itself. I love the innovation of being able to play as the Bad Guys. My one wish for this game is that they'd put in some sort of AI so I'd be able to play by myself.

My friends and I have stopped playing because it just gets boring when its so easy to dodge the Bad Guys. Please add an option where the Bad Guy meter fills up quicker.Second- Please add a better score system.Right now it feels unfinished...these two changes will bring it to 5-stars.

Fun for twoFantastic game for two people. Played this with my 5th grade cousin. As a techie, I also enjoy the bit-graphics, life in the background, and interactive title screen.
