Description

Shift Worker is an iPhone/iPod Touch application designed for people who need a quick and easy way to enter and view their shifts.
A traditional calendar is not always ideal for shift workers. Sometimes its not easy to see your upcoming shift schedule very clearly, especially if your shifts dont fall into the traditional working week. Shift Worker solves this problem and turns the frustrating task of entry into a quick and easy experience.
Shift Worker allows you to create your own types of shifts by combining visually-attractive icons with letters/numbers so that they can be easily identified at a glance. By including a range of icons (such as suns and stars for day and night shifts) in a variety of colors, any combination is possible for all types of shifts.
Entering shifts can be done quickly by simply selecting a type of shift and tapping on each date it occurs. An entire month of shifts could be entered in seconds, an entire year in a few minutes!
In addition, Shift Worker allows you to send your shifts via email so that others can also see your shifts at a glance. To make things even simpler, you can even save your shifts to your iPhone/iPods background so that referring to your upcoming shift schedule is as simple as picking up your iPhone/iPod.
Shift Worker also includes the ability to create colored personalized notes for each date. Notes can be used anytime additional information needs to be added to a date.

BUYERS: If you are looking for a simple calendar that neatly displays shift work (one shift per day) by icons with no extra thrills, this is for you. Calendar looks great and is easy on the eyes. The icons are good (sun, star, circle), and the colors assignment works well. You can get up to three characters inside each icon. The "Time" view is not much of use. Again, just a simple and clean app. DEVELOPER: Like others have said, if you can make it to where at least two shifts can be assigned to a day this would be a FIVE star app. The "Note" thing helps, but does not substitute multiple shifts. Also, when creating shifts we enter a start/end time for each shift. Can you add a feature where it displays total hours for the month. Lastly, if you add swipe feature please make a setting where it can be disabled. I agree with another reviewer that the button for changing the month is too close to the top and responds slowly.

This app is good for a busy mom like me. I can enter my kids schedule (piano & ballet schedule) as well as my husband's work schedule but the problem is it cannot overlap some schedules. If you could do that ... there's nothing more I could ask for and it would have been a five star! Looking forward for better and improve version! Great Job Guys!

It's so easy! If your schedule is posted on a wall at your workplace, you just tap a few times and have a month of work recorded in seconds. The menus are very simple too.

Use pocket life calendar, it does the same thing & more. Plus it's free! The calendar on this app is slightly out of focus, kinda become an eye sore. For $1.99 i expected more..

I've bought and trialled so many scheduling/calendar apps!!! This is EXACTLY what I needed. I'm a nurse, too, and copying down the schedule has been a time consuming CHORE all the way back to my Palm-based TRG PRO. Who needs to sync?!? You could lose ALL your data, and if you've emailed them to yourself, reentering your schedules is so fast, you could redo it in a lot less time than it takes to sync!!! I'm so thrilled that I hesitate to complain, but I would agree that swiping the screens or bigger arrow buttons would be great!

I got this app to keep track of my schedule as it changes all the time. I am always wondering who I am working with? For that I have to carry two schedules a tech schedule and a pharmacist schedule. With this app it's easy. Just make a shift and the I'd # I put in the store number so I can look at it and know what shift and what store in one glance. If I want to know who my coworkers are then I have them listed in the notes section. This app would be even better if could track your hours for the week or month

I have yet to bother writing a review for any of my apps sadly( all good), but after using this app I had to share with anyone thinking about getting this app, do it!! Fast and easy way to input your shift. Only thing I wish u could do was add multiple peoples shifts. I'm sure that'll be coming soon. Thanks

This is a good app to keep up with a schedule that can be emailed or texted to family and friends. If only it could keep up and tally upcomming paychecks!!!

This is a good start. Customizeable icons are GREAT. It needs to have the ability to show at least 2 icons in each date (not just 1 icon and a note flag). The delete confirmation is cumbersome and needs to be removed. It also needs to change months by swiping. The month change buttons are too close to the other top control buttons and too slow to respond. It would be nice to have two or more calendars like colorcal. Programmers need to use their apps for a while before publishing...a little bit of "user experience" is worth a lot of "testing". UPDATE: Lowered my rating due to app creator not doing any updates to add functions and fix problems noted by users. Too bad, it is good but could be great with a few fixes.

I love this app! The best app I have ever bought. I work at an ammusememt park and I never work the same shift. This app keeps me all organized. It's defently worth the money spent. You could put in multiple shifts in this to. And there are different colors and shapes that could represent the shifts. If u work different times every day or week... U NEED TO BUY THIS!!

I bought this to track my work schedule it works better then I thought it would only wish you didn't have to delete all the notes each time you go in to change a note. You make a note on one day and if you wish to change it u have to delete it then make a new one.
