One feature I would love to see added - instead of the icons - I would much prefer to be able to create a category, and then be able to enter notes under each category - I will use this primarily at work and I work on multiple projects - so would love to be able to enter a category like 'Staff Meetings' and then enter notes under that category so they are more easily organized than having a long list of notes and having to filter. More choices of fonts would be nice - although the current selection is acceptable. Would like to see a time stamp added to the date created/modified information Ability to change paper color would be a nice feature - white can be a tad harsh on the eyes sometimes. Some type of calendar feature would be nice - to see notes created during a period of time - similar to the iPad monthly view calendar. You can't beat this app for price/features.

Synotes Slate remains a very reliable application through this update. They have ensured me that further updates are coming to fix some minor issues, but for now I'm very happy with the application and would encourage it for all iPad users.

I can not express how strongly I feel about Synotes, it's reliably served me through iPad, iPhone & web applications. Update: This latest version brings many of the awesome features I've been looking for, and appears to fix all the bugs I've noticed. I'm not sure what some of the other reviewers are talking about, I've had no problems with Synotes.

I bought this yesterday with a particular task in mind. I like to read medical journal articles (in PDF format) on my iPad using iAnnotate. I wanted to be able to jot notes on the articles in another app that I could easily synchronize with an app or Web app on the desktop. So, I bought this for both iPad and iPodTouch, set it up, and tried to work. The first note I wrote quickly appeared in the Web app. Cool. I went to add more info to the note on the iPad. My additions disappeared from the iPad version. The Web version remained unchanged. I tried again and again to add info. There was no "Save" button on the iPad, and all I could do was to wait to see if it ever showed up on the Web version. Never did (gave it ten hours). What's weirder is that when I checked the date/time stamps, it was telling me I first created the note a day before I installed the app, but the modification date/time was correct. However, later, the note versions were backdated another four days. This must have something to do with the time difference between the servers in Australia and here in the eastern US. Wrestling with this application was frustrating, and it never got the job done. I've given up, now and moved on to a much more reliable solution: Evernote. I should have thought of that in the first place. As far as I can tell, this application is Not Ready for Primetime. It looks nice, but if it can't reliably and efficiently get the job done, what's the point?

Having used both the iPad and iPhone versions I can tell you this is NOT a reliable note taking method. I have experienced the exact same notes gone missing and notes not taking problems on both versions. The iPad versions has another irritating bug, it duplicates some notes when syncing. Yet, if you delete one of the duplicates, it deletes them both. Terribly unreliable. Notes are too important to have them suddenly vanish. With the amount of note apps here, AVOID this one.

App is still buggy when deleting notes through 'edit'. Developers advice to use 'refresh sync data' only helps once. When deleting through paper basket, note still stays on top, apparantly nothing happens untill you do something else at that point.

A Note application that syncs instantly between my iPhone and my iPad (and on a web page to my computer as well)! I downloaded both Apps, signed up for an account and wrote a test note on each device in less than three minutes. The apps have been working flawlessly. Delightful! Fast! Reliable! Just like you'd expect Apple devices to be.

DisappointedI read an online review of this app for iPad; sounded interesting. Visited developer website, created an online account, and downloaded app from the App store. Created a test note, went into set-up, entered my user ID and password, and then...crash. Hmm. Tried again.... Crash. Tried a third time.... Crash. Tried a fourth time (because Im stubborn like that) and.... Crash.Im not going go inject any anger or whatever here in my review. Id like my $1.99 back, though. This app doesnt work, plain and simple.

Looks great, but can be quirky with long notesThis is a very attractive looking app with a great interface. Ive had no trouble at all syncing with the web-based application, so accessing my notes from multiple sources is not a problem. That being said, the app works very well with short notes but seems to have a problem with longer ones on the iPad. Hopefully this bug will be addressed through future patches. If so, I could easily give this a five star review.
