Description

Thumbs! enables you to create thumbnails for your favourite sites and easily access them with a single click. All websites are directly opened in the app, so you can easily browse and switch back to your thumbnails.

If you are expecting to simply navigate to websites by typing in a url... boy, you're wrong! It only works if you create thumbnails first and add them to the screen (which i found to be very difficult to do) and click on them. Once you click on a thumb, it opens and you gotta stare at the blank screen for most of the time as there's no progress indicator or visual hint that a page is loading. Honestly, I would hesistate to pay anything over 99 cents, max.

It is like the Speed Dial add on for Firefox, finally!!! It works as described and is fast. Clicking on icons to browse is much easier than using bookmarks. Version 1.0 is great, but it needs a few improvements: The landscape view of thumbnails sometimes temporarily leaves an empty bar on the side. Some websites need to be entered manually because clicking the + button locks onto ads within the site rather than the primary site. The option to drag icons would be helpful. Overall, it is awesome. I now use it for almost all web browsing.

This is similar in looks to Safari's list of recently visited websites. But I get to add as many websites as I want and create categories as well. I have an extensive bookmark list so this app is great for anyone who has broad interests by distinct categories as I do. I simply cut and paste the website from the address bar in Safari and add it to Thumbs. It's fast and works exactly as I expected. However, I hope they one day create an option to simply import selected bookmarks. Right now I am adding them one at a time. Fun right now because I get to revisit some old favorites; but could get tedious overtime. But right now I am loving every minute!

OK, you can add sites easily and it is not a bad bookshelf of much used sites. But if you fail to assign them to particular categories as you add them, as I did, you are out of luck to do it later. So bag the category function, which would be useful but only works if you get it right the first time. But I don't mean to over criticize. The concept has utility. I await updates, because this app is also prone to crashing. A lot, I have to say!

This is a great app for keeping my bookmarks all in one place on my iPad. It's easy to use (idiot proof) and very convenient. Whatever I paid for it is worth it. I even keep track of sites I want to read later, with it. Easy to add sites, easy to delete them.

Starters: Ka Rash. X2 Moved a priority 2 site image above a priority 1 site image. You can't rearrange image tiles with your finger like apps on your screen. (At least I cant figure it out) Browser speed seems to be a bit slow but OK overall. Finally, when you think about it it's really faster to pull down favorites titles. You don't need a to flick through images. I want the fastest possible browser. I'll use it a while and then delete it.

I found Thumbs this morning among the Featured apps and didn't hesitate to purchase it since it looked like it would free up Safari for searches rather than holding pages I like to come back to throughout the day. Thumbs fills the bill! I fumbled a bit setting things up but the developer promptly answered my emailed questions. There have been a few crashes but it seems like the guy is on top of the issues and working to resolve them. Though I have 11 pages of apps, Thumbs has already earned a spot on the my first page! Five stars, and thanks.
