Clearly this is one of the best apps for budgets I've seen. I like fancy things, and this app is surprisingly not just fancy, but features packed as well. The tricky part with this app is that it uses planned transactions and regular transactions separately, which was somewhat confusing in the beginning. But all the rest deserves 5 stars and I am pleased to use it

I like the interface. It's really amazing. Why are other apps not like this? I believe that this is what a standard iPad app must be: bright, delightful and intelligent. I am not a financial guru, but for my needs the app works perfectly OK PS Yes, I care about my finances. I just think that this data format is the best for iPad apps: colorful and simple

I am an experienced business analyst who has worked in the finance sector for over a decade and even I find this application quite confusing. The input seems clear enough but after you begin entering various amounts, along with start and stop dates, the numbers seem to be really skewed. It’s difficult to tell if I am doing something wrong or if the software is just extremely riddled with bugs as the developers left out any meaningful help guide. In fact, the only help provided is only basic instructions. I think this application shows a great deal of potential, but for the time being it seems that iBearSoft expects the public to beta test their software.

I really wanted to like this app because it sounds like it does (in theory) exactly what I want it to do. After playing with it for an hour I deleted it. The interface, while kinda pretty (if just a tiny bit gawdy) is unnecessarily convoluted and I noticed something strange about the numbers too. Things were off by an inexplicable amount (using two large numbers, salary and rent... but the resulting balance was like $5.40 off for some strange reason). So I'm afraid I have to agree with a couple of the other reviews. It's counterintuitive and seemingly buggy. I may reinstall if there's an update... if I don't find a good product between now and then.

If you budget some things by month and others by week, especially income, your charts and budget will not match. So unless you want a big fancy calculator that will only confuse you, don't buy. Waste of money!

I'm highly skeptical of the 5 star reviews. I can't get the app to work properly, and there's precious little instructions provided to make sense of things. I want my two dollars back.

Could you add 'budget amount - actual amount'? And.. I have several different checking accounts, So if I add all the money in just one 'actual amount' category I easily get confused.. Could you add more options regarding the issue? **Serious problem with budgeting feature - For example, if I try to add $5000 for expense budget Over period from September 1st, 2010 to May 31st, 2011, It won't let me do it. Why is the date locked for future budget (monthly) plan? Just unlock all those dates! I don't see any point of locking such features.. And Import feature is always a MUST for apps like this.. Please update these, and There wouldn't be anything to complain about this app..

Nothing works right on this app wouldn't recommend paying one cent for this!! Maybe it's because the help section is only two paragraphs long??? Thanks for no help!!!! Would definitely recommend apple taking a second look at this one for the price this app costs??

Who gave this 5 stars? this app doesn't do even the simplest things right. Payments are never divided evenly between periods, sometimes with drastic swings. Recurring expenses do not come out of the budget at all, as if they aren't even there. When you meet a monthly budget the pie graph shows a 50/50 split between targeted and actual ( how much sense does that make? ). Scrolling month to month requires repeatedly tapping an arrow, which takes forever, and if not careful opens up a context menu that sets the month back to the current date, requiring you to start all over again. Having a budget one year long only starts from January first, and erases your start/ end date to do this. Of all the apps I own this has the worst user interface. Don't let the lipstick on this pig fool you! It's very tedious for navigating even though adding transactions is simple. This is useless for anything but adding up a sequence of transactions, and that is only if the pay periods match. There is neither enough space here nor time in my day to list all the problems with this app. I am honestly at a loss for how anyone can use this as anything other than a simple checkbook.

Glad I didn't pay $4.99 for this app. App store should give u a refund for poorly described apps. Obviously I mis-read the "sync" function. They don't mean sync with your bank, they mean sync with another device you previously hand typed your data into. If I wanted to hand type my transactions, I'd use excel. Couldn't delete this app fast enough.

I don't know who would rate this 5 stars, but I certainly wouldn't. The interface is amazing, and I love the graphs, but a pretty app means nothing if it won't work the way you expect it to. I have entered transactions and somehow they seem to disappear. The numbers don't add up in some cases, or the entry for budgeted vs. Actual can be confusing. Not even sure why you would need to enter two amounts for recurring transactions that don't change, like house payments, car payments, insurance, an salary. I think this could have been made a little more intuitive and user-friendly. I give the graphic designer an A++ however.
