Having to use the sensor before was a bit of a pain- especially if u wanted to run barefoot... Now that's not a problem!

Works just fine on my iPhone 4. Wife took it for a spin this morning and she likes it. Nike's don't fit her feet just right, so we weren't able to get shoes with sensor pockets, but this is a great alternative. As for the app not working, I don't think people restart their phones enough... and why would you want to run with an iPad?

I was so disappointed the nike+ app originally on my iphone 3gs no longer worked well. I was irritated at it all the time. This update is EXACTLY what was needed (and it did work on the 3gs). I was worried you wouldn't be able to multi-task (check email, use another app at the same time) but it worked great! Once you sync from your phone into the Nike+ site, the GPS portion of it is really cool (both the view on your phone and on the computer). Really, this saved me the $400 I was going to pay for a Garmin that was really too expensive for a just jog for fun kind of person. THANK YOU!!! Great job (although now I worry more about other people cheating in the competitions...)

Just when I was debating about purchasing a garmin for running Nike releases this which is exactly what I wanted. I have not tested it yet so this may be a premature review but I have been very happy with the original nike + app and its features and the additions this adds like GPS and ability to challenge yourself seem great. I was surprised that I actually had to pay for the app. It should have been a free upgrade after all I had to purchase nike shoes, nike shoe thingie thing, and other nike apparel to match my shoes.

This is a fantastic new implementation of the Nike+ app. The GPS eliminates my need for the clumsy shoe sensor that never wants to work, the account connectivity eliminates the need to wait until you sync your phone to see the runs on the website, and the route map generation eliminates the need for course mapping by hand online. All in all, this is the version of this app that should have been here all along.

I bought this app, after running for 45 minutes on the treadmill it only record 0.1mile, this app needs some work. I was looking forward to this app after I read that MotionX was doing the development. But like I said before, it needs some work.

I was shopping for a new running app and glad I saw this. Because RunKeeper Pro is $10! I went running right away and I'm impressed with accuracy of the data. You won't need special Nike+ shoes anymore. Just the app and a reason to run.

Not sure what's up with this thing, but the lap announcements are really off. I just ran 3 miles, the first mile said 8:02 per mile pace when it was actually 8:47 according to their website. The second mile announced 7:20 per mile but it was actually 8:03, so odd that it's about 40 seconds off each lap. Very frusting to think you're running a record pace only to get home and find out it was just announcing it wrong. The actualy "recording" is correct. The lap/pace times correspond to my Garmin 310XT, even though the distance was a little short by .03 over 3 miles. Not the end of the world. **Update** I just read "runr4life" review and they state that the distance is off .1 miles over a distance of 4 miles. NEWSFLASH, YOU'RE ON A TREADMILL!!! Give me a break...yeah, amazing.

Finally the app that should be native to the iPhone and iPod touch is here! I can say good-bye to the foot pod now. I love NIke+but the foot pod restriction is something I'd rather not worry about. This one seems just as accurate if not more. And it tracks very accurately where I've run, both on the device and on Nike+ which is a pleasant surprise. Nice!

All around its a good app and worth the $2. I use it every other day while running. I've used it for about 30 miles of training so far. I wear it on an armband, or sometimes I hold it. Still holding back 1 star till they add average pace information.

I live this app the feed back and everything about it is great. It would be better if it gave you the option to continue your workout during a phone call.

This app is a pretty solid one but still needs a couple of little tweaks in order for it to be "perfect". Some of the pros to this app is that it does a pretty good job at tracking and logging your runs. :) I am using an iPhone 4 and I was surprised to see how little battery drain this app took in (From my testing I found that it drops aprox 1% per minute of your battery life, most casual runners don't run non-stop for more than an hour so considering that this app uses the GPS in your constantly...it's not that bad). A big con tho is that when you receive a call (even if you don't answer it) it pauses your work out. If they were to fix that then this app with the integration of the Nike website/community it would have been a solid 5 stars.

This is app is nearly perfect. Now that I dont need the shoe dongle, how about supporting a heart rate monitor...then I can ditch my garmin 305! And blooth headphones are still skippy...same as with old nike app.
