Description

FltCrew-iLog is the perfect replacement for any Airline Crewmember who currently keeps a shirt pocket flight logbook. It was designed as a supplement to a complete Flight Data archive. FltCrew-iLog is a handy method to enter/access your flight data. Just as you do now, enter your flight data by entering Trips (which contain Flights, Crew Names, Expenses, and Trip Comments). Then, using the built in search functions, quickly access your data.
FEATURES:
• Quick and Simple Data Entry:
Flight data is entered starting on the Trip Page.
You enter Trips which contain your Flights, Expenses, and Remarks.
Then you add Flights which contain Times, Aircraft, Landings, Crew Lists, etc.
• Monthly Calendar View:
You can view (and select) your Trips right on a Monthly Calendar.
• Extensive Trip/Flight Searches:
How much Flight Time did I log last year?
What was my B767 CA time the last 6 months?
How many times have I been to CDG, or...
any airport in Paris, or... any airport in France?
What is the Airport Name for code EGBB/BHX?
Show me all my trips to Germany last year.

I have had this app for over a year and I can attest that this is one of those apps where the developer is serious about user satisfaction and user input. It's a great app. A rest, whitlow and duty calculator would be a great addition as well as an airline contract segment tracking flight pay, per diem, rigs etc. I'd pay for that upgrade.

I've been using this app for almost a year now and can attest that it's well worth the $20. There have been a few glitches associated with apples firmware upgrades, but other than that it works great. The customer service is great also. Thanks.

At this time you must manually load actual flt times. I just want an app that will let you log onto flica and have past flight times load and log that time. As of now it doesn't. If they get that worked out it would be well worth it. Maybe that will be in a new update. Good customer service though.

Will not import files without time consuming effort on user. Support belittled the flaw as much ado about nothing have yet to fix it save your money marginal product at best

Cool concept, but JUNK!I am an airline pilot who doesnt even log his time - I fly for a 121 carrier and they do that for me, but I thought this would be cool on my Iphone. I was most interested in tracking people Ive flown with and mistakingly thought you could add pictures, which would be nice. In the crew reference section (not sure exactly what its called because I just went to check and the program would not boot up - again), there is a field for comments. Once entered, only the initial "field" of about for words can be read on review. If you tap the field, it just jumps to the very end of what you wrote, so that aspect is useless.I just downloaded this today and entered a couple of practice flights. It initially worked, but then would not boot up again, not even after rebooting my Iphone several times. I finally uninstalled the program and reinstalled it. It worked and I played with it again. One, its a little too complicated. Two, it needs to be cutomizable. Most 121 pilots get per diem, so I dont care about the expense icon cluttering up my screen. Anyway, the next time I went to open it, it would not reboot again.For how poorly this performs, the $20 price tag is nothing less than fraud. Bring it into court and you would have no problem winning a civil suit.By the way, It still hasnt booted up yet the entire time I wrote this review - Just the main page with the little circle spinning around...

Version 4.05 much improvedAlot of the previous complaints have been fixed with version 4.05. It exports into a CSV file fine now. Easy to insert into Logbook Pro PC for me. Crew limits page is good for 121 guys. FLICA schedule import was slightly buggy for me but it does work after a few tries (repeat log-in issue). Interface is slightly congested but you get use to it (lots of info you can log). Nice drop down menus and autofill options. You can easily save and backup to server so you dont have to worry about losing your info. I save/backup after every entry. Takes 2 seconds. Im not a developer. Just one opinion.

Great Application, Just What I was looking For!I have been waiting for an App like this to be released and it is just what I was looking for. Enables all of my information to be kept in one place plus it has the ability to look up thousands of airports with TAFs and METARs included. Great job, look forward to using it.

CrashesThis was the first program I bought for my new iPhone.I am a professional airline pilot and am familiar with log programs. This software crashed while entering the first trip info. Specifically it crashed after entering a crewmembers name.FltCrew support page said rebooting the iPhone may help. After rebooting, the program now works.I wish programs worked out of the box.

Good Conceptualization, Average PerformanceThere are a lot of nice functions, however, from an cognitive perspective the interface could be far more graceful, and simplified. Additionally, navigating back and forth between flights and trips can be a bugger--a consistent and annoying message about insufficient memory (this after all the updates, and suggested reboots of the Iphone). This may not be an inherent problem with the application running on future Iphones (that is, this application is very memory intensive) but, the current IPhone seems unable to accomodate for it well. So, perhaps there is just too much stuff....? Also, having shown the application to many other professional pilots that I work with, they have all commented that it largely considers only the needs of Pt. 121 crews (Airlines). To give the application wider appeal, there needs to be serious consideration given for the needs of Pt. 135 and Pt. 91 crews (for example, links to FltPlan.com etc.---and the flexibility to migrate from decimal time and hour time (and conversions from zulu to local "planned" time) --and back, as the user may need given the specifics of their dispatch sheets and trip requests. Trim out the "sort of useful stuff" like the briefing page, WX radar page (we get that from better sources--no need to see it here), and tighten up the airport lookup function. Summary review--this is a good start, and the program has a future, but its trying to do too much, without doing enough of what it should be doing well...

Aaaaaaarrrrrggh!!!I have been using this app for 121 operations since Dec. Not too bad, but the low memory warning was pretty annoying. Once you clear out the memory with a restart....no problem. Ive recently, however, installed the latest update and the application is no longer even usable. Open it up, type in a flight number, CRASH. Open it back up, type in flight number.....good, type in scheduled out/in times, CRASH. Start over buddy, the flight numbers gone again, too. I even tried saving after each and every field entry...no go.I was somewhat happy with it, now my iPhone has bite marks on it.....and I want my money back. You may dig it at first, but itll just end up ticking you off. Keep your cash.

not worth itI did buy this. Wish I hadnt wasted my money and went with Logten instead. This thing is cumbersome to input data. You constantly have to go back and save your data while your putting in a trip or else it crashes. Still bugged with getting out of memory messages which force you to shut down the phone and restart it. Bottome line....not ready for prime time.

FltCrew iLog has gotten better with the updatesI have been using the Apps since its inception and have dealt with ALL of the problems and frustrations mentioned in other reviews. I have stuck with it and kept entering my flight info and times. I LOVE the Crew Pictures portion of it! I do back up my info on paper still with extra info on my trips but perseverance and patience have paid off getting used to this App. Id like to encourage the developer to keep improving it and working the bugs out of it. Ths App is more than just a great concept, it has become a very nice reality! A coworker friend of mine loved the Crew Pictures feature of this App so much that he bought an iTouch and this App just to have it. He uses a Palm to record his flight info but is making the switch to Mac, iTouch, and this App. I am happy with the application and patiently persist when I encounter a small glitch.

Good for airline pilots and getting betterI have tried several of the flight log programs, and this one definitely has the most potential. It is very solid right now, and the technical support is very good and responsive given the limitations of memory and the demands of all the different airlines. My main request is the ability to import a SWA schedule with hotel, and then to be able to add notes to that entry. Other than that, it works great!

Getting better. Most bugs seem to be goneI am upgrading my review from 1 star to 3 star. This is a functionable program and seems to be the only fit for 121 pilots. I upgraded because the developer seems very genuine in making a good product. Face it no app is always 100, but if the developer answers emails ( as the developer does) then thats good enough for me. I agree the interface has become cluttered and could use a redesign of some sort, big fingered folks may have issues. It gets the job done and is pretty powerful. I would like to see it track flight pay, rigs and per diem in the future. All in all a good app

Top notchIve used this program for a couple of years, and it is still my preferred logbook as a commercial pilot. While there are more fancy (and expensive) solutions out there, this one export to a format you can easily import into a spreadsheet for printing.Interface is somewhat cluttered on the tiny iPhone screen, but everything you need to input a flight is there on one page.There have been a few issues over the years, but the dedicated developer is listening to users and do a very good job of updating and adding new features.
