NEW STYLE DUAL-STICK CONTROL: melee attack instead of only shooting
In the Middle Ages, there was a terrific, miserable and suffocating atmosphere pervading all over the European continent.
The pandemic of plague broke out all over the land. Feudalism and the setting up of separatist regime by force of arms lead to frequent battles which caused
enormous death and disappearance. People were living in hopeless pain, and such a memorable period was named as the Dark Age.
The story began with the adventuring-loving hero had arrived a village called Moterloo.
According to the villagers, the feudal lord lost him temper one day suddenly.
The tyranny resulted in riots of the villagers. However, they were suppressed by the lords force very quickly.
The feudal lord forced all the strong men to mine gold in a cave since then. Soilders were ordered to guard strictly outside.
No one was allowed to enter or leave the cave throughout the 3 years. Also, there were continuous misterious disappearances of the remaining villagers.
In order to find out the truth and save the villagers, the Hero decided to get into the cave for investigation.

I got the game and played for a little while. I'd be interested in hearing what's coming in the update I heard about, because as the game is, it's a good start, but needs more. It's sort of a basic dungeon crawl with more focus on the action than character development - in fact, there is no experience earned or leveling at all. The only thing you seem to be able to improve is your weapons. That system is pretty good - it's reminiscent of MMO upgrade systems. One weird thing I noticed though is that while there is a price for an upgrade (and it does check your gold balance), it doesn't seem to withdraw the gold from your balance when you get the upgrade. The exploring and combat aspects are decent, but could use some work. Combat is pretty simple - a basic DS system. Beyond the weapon attacks, you also have a special ability with up to 3 charges (that seem to have slightly different effects), and you can recharge by killing more monsters. Exploration isn't bad, but it gets tedious quickly mainly because an entire level is composed of the same types of walls and ground and there's no mini-map (unless you spend 3000 gold for a 1-use map - it only works while you're on that level - once you leave, the map disappears). So it feels like you're wandering around aimlessly trying to find the exit to the next floor (or to the floor above). Making the mini-maps last forever or else making them much cheaper would help a lot. Making the maps nicer looking and more detailed would be nice too. Then there are the portals to the town - these cost even more - 5k gold. You start out with around 1k gold, but you only get around 10 gold per creature. So gold accumulation requires a lot of grinding if you want those maps and portals. There's also an arena you can enter that's basically a survival mode, but it costs 500 gold to enter, and you don't get any rewards from it. The weapons and upgrade system are really the only thing this game has going for it right now - you have 3 choices for weapons (at least at the beginning) - sword, spear, and bow. Sword is faster and does more damage. Spear is slower, slightly less damage, but much longer range (and wider sweeps to hit more at once). Bow seems to be the weakest - it does the most damage, but it only seems to hit one target at a time (melee weapons can hit multiple targets in one sweep) and is slow to fire [edit - just watched one of the videos that shows the PC shooting five shots from the bow at once - this must be a higher level weapon or upgrade - that's nice to see that's an option at some point]. You can upgrade all of these (as well as your armor) by going to an NPC and using a crystal. You can also add cards that decrease failure rate and penalty upon failure. So not a bad system. I'm really not sure what the goal of the game is, partially because the background text scrolled by too quickly (though I'm guessing it's the same text as in the game description on itunes), and partially because the NPCs give no quests or any info at all - in fact they don't even talk except to say "hey" when you walk near. No quests and no leveling up makes for somewhat of a dull game once you get past the combat. Finally, graphics are ok - textures could be more detailed, but aren't bad. Sound is good. Music is ok - not bad, but not inspiring. Menu system is nice. In-game UI is fine except for one thing - you tap on your character to open his inventory. In town this is fine, but in the dungeon, I found myself accidentally opening my inventory and removing my armor sometimes while trying to pick up items/gold (you tap on them to pick up). There really should be an inv. button on the side instead. Another UI element that would be nice is a shortcut bar to load different weapons and one-use items. Right now, you need to enter your inventory to use the items or switch weapons. This could really be a good game if character advancement was introduced, quests were added, mini-maps and portals were made cheaper and/or permanent, and more varied loot was introduced. Then you could easily sell for $2-3. So as I said, I'm eager to see what's being added in the update.

The graphics are bland and the gameplay is slow and boring. Needs some game direction early on to help you figure out what to do. Also, melee doesn't work and doesn't make sense in a dual stick game. It would probably play better with an attack button or tap targeting.

Seriously? A buck for the game and the a buck per save spot you want permanent mapping for? Not to mention I finally found the level two exit but guess what...it's in a wall so I can't use it. Good thing I wasn't dumb enough to pay extra for a normal feature like mapping because now I have to erase my save and start over if i want to play further. Update...I have found that if you press on every wall of the dungeon eventually you will find one that lets you walk through it and wander the blackness past the walls until you are lucky enough to stumble upon the exit to the next level that is somewere outside of the normal walled in area...great! Did this game get playtested after that last update at all?

So I was gettin proud of myself for bein a boss at the game. My first account was bad but I went into the arena. All of a sudden the game just like viewed the bottom left of the arena. It is frozen there and I can't move or see myself. I can use potions and my skill but that's it. My second account was beast. It was my third time in the dungeon. I was gettin far but ALL OF A SUDDEN the game spazzed out an viewed the bottom left of the dungeon like with the first account. I can't do anythin except create my third account and hope it doesn't do that. I probably won't though. But besides this bug, it's pretty good. Please fix it!

Not awfulThe new update fixed the door-in-the-wall problem, but it still is over way too fast. It reminds me of Fate, but with all the great depth gutted out.

Fix the bugsCould be a great game if you fix the inaccessible doors and the other bug where you can get stuck on the rocks, that are not on the path. Fix it, fix it, fix it!!!!! Paid money for the app, shouldnt have to complain about bugs.
