Push To Talk - Connect with your friends and family any time, anywhere with the convenience of Push To Talk style communication.

Push To Talk 2.0 is now available!!! It's the same great application as PushToTalk 1.4 which has sold thousands of copies, but now with Push Notification alerts. Now your friends can send you a message even when this application isn't running!!!

How it works:
- Simply choose a group name and password and share it with your friends
- Choose your nickname and personal icon
- Press and hold the talk button, just like a walkie-talkie. When the red light on the button lights, start talking.
- Your voice message will be sent instantly to all your friends.
- You can see which friends are actively running the app. If they aren't running it, they will receive an alert that they have a message from you.
- Note: To adjust audio volume, use the volume up/down buttons WHILE a message is playing. Otherwise, only ringtone volume will change.

Useful features:
- 'Whisper' to a single friend by selecting their name on the list of online friends.
- When not running, you receive alerts and can see a counter of how many audio notes are waiting for you on the application icon.
- Customizable tones to alert you to an incoming message (but less annoying than certain cell phone providers' push to talk tones)
- Maintains a history of messages you have received in case you didn't hear something correctly
- Works over the internet (wi-fi for best results), or also has an optimized peer-to-peer 'local' mode if your friends are all on the same network. Neither causes SMS or airtime usage.
- Note: Offline alerts are only available in 'internet mode'

- Message your friends similar to IM applications like AIM or Yahoo, but with voice. (Get the point across much faster than typing on a mobile device).
- Audio capabilities similar to VOIP applications like fring but without any usage charges.

Important usage notes:
- iPod Touch users must have working audio input device (Apple headset, etc).
- PushToTalk 2.0 must be installed on every device with which you wish to connect. Requires a wifi connection to connect. You will not be able to see PushToTalk 1.X users.
- Audio traffic is transmitted across the network, so avoid sharing private or sensitive information.
- Photos for icons taken directly from the camera are large and require a lot of time and memory to transfer.
- Performs best with short messages.
- Conserve system resources by clearing history often.
- If you have trouble launching, try removing PushToTalk and installing it again.
