"Massive Multiplayer"? More like massive disappointmentI bought CozyQuest this morning after reading the large number of great reviews for the game. I downloaded it, restarted my iPhone, and got ready to spend the morning playing a nifty little RPG. The title screen came up and I went through the prompts of creating my character (name, class, race, etc.). I browsed around for a minute, looking at the skills page and items page. When I tried to go back to my character, nothing happened. I sat there for a few minutes, waiting, staring at the spinning circle of pointlessness. Finally, I exited the app and re-entered it, just to be given an error message of "unable to establish a connection to the game server". It was all downhill from there.I checked my WiFi settings, switching between my homes WiFi and the Edge network. No help. I tried restarting my iPhone again. No help. I looked through my iTunes settings, making sure that I had the most recent updates of both my iPhone and my iTunes. I did, so thats not the problem either. All of my iPhone apps work except CozyQuest. My homes network is working just perfectly. ONCE I was able to get the game to load past the title screen, just to stare at a black screen with buttons on the bottom that did nothing when pushed. Apparently I just paid 5 bucks to look at a blank screen.As you might expect, I am far from impressed. There are dozens of 5-star reviews for this app, from players who just think its the greatest thing under the sun. Must be nice - I just flushed 5 bucks down the toilet. IF my issue is ever resolved (which Im not holding my breath for) Ill come back and revise this review. Nilss support site and website arent working either, so thats REAL useful for somebody who needs help like me. Evidently, Nils MO is Ill take your money and be completely unreachable via my website or any other means of communication. Ive already reported the problem and if it isnt fixed soon, Ill be putting in a request for a refund. As it stands now, Im considering my 5 dollars stolen. Its the worst app-downloading experience Ive ever had and Im on my 5th page of apps for my iPhone.So I guess what Im saying is - just because theres a lot of glowing reviews on here, you might want to think for a minute before downloading it and decide if sending off 5 dollars into cyberspace for a supposedly-fun game is worth the chance of looking at a useless, broken, black-screened app like I am right now. The game server is FAR from what its cracked up to be.

Worth the 5 dollarsI play mafia live, undead live, kingdom, etc. And this is just amazing. You dont have to wait for you health or mana to restore. You have more options to choose from for classes. And after playing it for a few minutes I was already hooked. The layout itself is worth the money. Theres a chat room, pvp arena, auction house, and all the other stuff youd find in a mmo. Not to mention you can use skills for once unlike those other games where you get abilities and what not and still cant figure out why you lose to other people who have the same items or "spells as you. Overall, what the others say about this game is true and I cannot thank the creator enough for actually devoting so much if his time on this game. Thank you so much and I hope the games community grows!

Simply the bestLook, for days i thought about getting this, and when i finally did get it, i wasnt disappointed. The game is literally being updated multiple times a day and the developer (who is very nice and actually cares what we have to say) is always keeping us up to date on what he is doing.If youre worried about the purchase, dont be. This game doesnt require friend codes or any of that other silly stuff that those other games do. This is an excellent text rpg with a compliment of extremely nice professional looking pictures that help set the mood.With the game always being updated, great pictures, a great professional development team, and a shelf life that seems endless, you have no reason not to get this!Buy now or forever wish you had a great rpg!

A Great RPG - MMO styleThis is a great RPG and also has the social aspects of an MMO. You can build your character, level up your skills and stats. Do different quests for different rewards. Combat includes choosing your action, turn by turn like typical rpgs with damage varying based on your character stats and the damage range of your chosen weapon. There is a tavern to chat with other players as well as an Auction House for buying and selling goods. A Guild system has just been implemented as well.With quick updates and fantastic support, there will be many many improvements in the days to come. Highly recommended. For the $4.99 price tag, it will provide many many many hours of enjoyment, a great investment for me.

Has potential, but will u pay for "potential" ???First the good. It has potential. They update the game in some small way each day. Now the bad. This game is FAR from complete. I think even the developers would admit that much. Right now each class has like only 1 "active" skill and 1 "passive" skill. More are probably on the way, sure, but why not hold off on releasing the game until all those features are there?? Can u imagine if, say, Warcraft tried that? "Buy our expansion with a new class. Right now theres only 1 ability, but were going to add more in the future... I promise."I think games that are sold for money in the app store should at least be out of beta before theyre sold. I think this game is still "pre-beta" cause theres really nothing to so. Only like 5-6 classes with no skill trees. There are a few quests, but they just keep endlessly repeating over and over. There are maybe 20-30 total items in the game (less weapons, and Ive only seen 2 armor items). To the devs: You have good ideas. Why not buckle down and let the game mature through a few more months of development before selling it? I suspect that if you released a more finished product, people would flock to it, and less people would try to hack it. (Maybe call this version CozyQuest BETA andmake it free. Then, eventually release a fully developed one for $5.

Similar to the other iphone MMORPGs ButLet me break it down for you... Build a character. Get a Quest. Go to the quest area and continually press "search" until you find the quest item. Each time you press "search" you will encounter a random monsters or a random events (like "trip on roots, -1 endurance.) Once you have search long enough to find your quest item, you can return to the city. Complete your quest get experience and gold. Upgrade your equipment and person. Rinse and repeat!Fighting is very much the same. Press the attack button, repeat until the monster dies or you get low on health.(and you get a retreat button) No real strategyNo animation. No sound. Good graphics.So, if you like this kind of thing, this game is for you.

Promising futureThe game is really starting to pick up. The devs are always adding things and staying close to the users. Looking forward to seeing more features. The game is in its early stages meaning it only gets better. There are professions, different classes and races. A guild system was just implemented. The chat is always filled with ppl. A true MMO with the possibility of greatnessLets touch on the negatives first and get those out of the way.I dont believe the developer (Nils Munch) was ready for the onslaught of buyers:1. There are are still very few quests, areas & items.2. Its getting more difficult to logon without a network error ("could not establish connection to the game server.")3. Its takes a while for very low level characters to advance to next levels.4. Due to the current server, the game runs quite slowly. But Wait!...THE Pros:1. Nils is actively working to add new quests, areas and items daily!2. Incredible original artwork! (Kudos to the graphic designers!)3. It is our understanding that Nils is dropping in a new server. This will hopefully square away the slowness and login issues.4. Nils makes his presence very much known in that he continue to keeps you updated with his current state of development. (including sleeping! lol)5. By his not rushing items and areas out of an assembly line, they are tweaked nicely, working for balance, and gives a nice air about the game.6. Innovative imagination (Post office for sending notes, gold and items to other players; an auction where players can sell items.)All in all, this promises to be a true MMO without the boring humdrum of repetivness (i.e. iquest anyone?!) A little patience on our part looks to be nicely rewarded in time.Perhaps in time we can experience ingame atmoshperic sounds, true multiplayer questing, and in a throwback to the old MUDs, an ANSI type mapping system.In any case, for the current price, and in its current state, I will still give it a solid four stars. After time wanes, there is no doubt that CozyQuest will be the Iphone MMO benchmark that others will simply try to clone.

Potential..Has lots of potential but is full of bugs that arent being fixed, its laggy, and the equipment, quest, and advancement has not been thought and the developer seems to have abandoned the game

Epic Win x 9001Im so happy that CozyQuest has returned! Ive been waiting for this for a while, and it was worth the wait. Note: The game currently has some bugs, which SHOULD BE EXPECTED. Dont instantly hate on this game because of its bugs. The gameplay is great regardless, though the grinding can seem a bit monotonous at times. My suggestion to Nils: As far as gameplay goes, Id suggest adding more plot-deep quests, ESPECIALLY early on. A string of quests with good plot-lines can easily be more entertaining than a bunch of randomly thrown together quests. All in all, a good game. Definitely worth the money and the few bugs.

New look, same old problems.The interface has improved, and there are a lot more features. It looks good overall. Theres just one problem. A whole new slew of problems has appeared to take the place of the old. Among those:-pay-to-level options where you an buy levels and gold simply by spending real money (which the creator said would never appear in the game, only cosmetic add-ons).-horribly balanced classes, such as the archer and necromancer, which cant engage a level 1 enemy twice without resting.-no option to migrate our characters over, so there is no balance between player levels, as there are level 50 btea testers and level 1 newbies.Overall, the game is just as easy to pick up as it is to put down do something else. Its obvious that the cash-strapped creator simply wants your money by making promises that always seem to be in "future versions." Considering that they took more than a year longer to release this game, that should be a red flag. Dont waste your time.
