Just take a photograph and Sudoku Grab does the rest.
You can grab as many puzzles as you want, the puzzle database has a handy tagging system that lets you quickly grab and tag so you know exactly where your puzzles came from.
Sudoku Grab also comes with built in puzzles, so youve always got something to play.
You can:

I almost exclusively use this app for capturing puzzles from newspapers and airline magazines, etc. It's nice to have the built-in puzzles for when the captures get done, though. The capture ability just gets better and better or else I get better at taking pictures it can use. From the "just okay" camera in my original iPhone the the good camera in my iPhone 4, I have always been able to take puzzles with me. The pencil system is the best I've seen to date as well. Thanks.

Great potential. Needs to grow up.Let me begin by saying that this app has the "potential" to be the absolute best Sudoku app on any platform, if they will just fix the several really irritating tiny (and one major) bugs.1) The photo/OCR part works really great, except that the tiny, low contrast numbers that they use for verification cant be seen without a magnifying glass.You take a photo and crop it and the app recognizes what it thinks are the proper numbers. Its quite accurate and somewhat amazing that we have this capability on a phone. But, like all OCR apps, it requires human verification and therein lies a significant problem. It displays the cropped photo, with tiny, low contrast numbers that it recognized, in the corner of each box, where a number appeared in the photo.In this regard, the app needs two things. The verification numbers need to be LARGER and the color of those numbers needs to be user-changeable. Since not all Sudoku puzzles will be black on white, there should be an option to make the verification numbers Black, White or Blue, at the very least.2) Having an "UnDo" button is great. But the hot-spots for the "UnDo" and "Puzzle Book" buttons, at the top of the screen are way too large. Its difficult to select either of the two top right boxes of the puzzle, without inadvertently undoing the last thing that you did. This presents a real problem, since you then have to remember the last thing that you did and go back and re-do it. Of a slightly lower irritation level is the fact that attempting to select either of the two top left boxes, often sends you back to the Puzzle Book. I can live with that. But if you accidentally hit the "UnDo" button and undo something that you did an hour earlier, before pausing the game, it might be rather difficult to figure out what it just undid.The hot-spots for those two buttons need to be reduced in size, at the bottom of each button, so as not to interfere with selecting the top row of boxes. Another thing that would help is to provide a "ReDo" feature, just in case the user accidentally hits the "UnDo" button.3) BIG PROBLEM - If you put your iPhone to sleep, while playing a game, the game timer keeps counting. I started playing a game and got interrupted about 5 minutes into the game, so I pressed the sleep button on top of the iPhone and went off to other things. Three hours later, I went back to the game and the timer showed that I had been playing the game for more than three hours. It also seemed that the timers continuous running had drained my battery a little more than normal.When you put your iPhone to sleep, from a game screen, the game counter should stop. As I said above, I am pretty sure that this drained my battery more than normal. All of the other issues drop this app to a 4 star, but this one issue drops it to a 3 star. Dont drain my battery.4) The choice of colors for pencil marks is a really neat feature. But, the choice of colors available does not offer enough difference to be discernible in bright light. I use it a lot, to indicate number pairs. I just cant use it under bright light.I would suggest Black, Blue and either a fairly light Yellow or Green. Then, even if the number cant be read in bright light, its position in the square will tell you what it is.5) You can lock a number on, by holding it for a few moments. Pretty useful. But, when you do the same thing, to unlock that number, it toggles that number in the selected square.Unlocking a number should have no action on the selected square.6) On a trivial note, it would also be nice to have the game screen display the level of game that you are currently playing.All-in-all, it is great on concept and all the hard work has been done. It just needs a fair amount of fine tuning. If the above issues are addressed, this app will be among the best Sudoku apps on any platform. As it is, it can be quite irritating, at times.

One fatal flawThe "grabbing" feature is brilliant. However, as a sudoku game it commits one unforgivable sin: it will give you puzzles for which there is no logical solution (you have to guess and backtrack if you guess wrong). Thats no fun. Its still a great tool for playing puzzles found on paper, but its built-in puzzles are less great.

Perfect! The only Sudoku app you need!This app is the only Sudoku app you will ever need. Not only does it have just about every possible option a Sudoku app can have, the shining feature is the ability to take a picture of any puzzle you see and have the app convert it to a puzzle playable on your iPhone/Touch.A brilliant app, extremely well supported, and worth the $0.99 price tag without even thinking about it.

Too Cool!As a fan of Shazam & Snap Tell, and Suduko, I had to try it. It works very well. I deleted my old Suduko App. Im very glad I purchased this App. I have nothing to complain about. Kudos to the developer. Hopefully the price will stay at $.99. A good product at a low price will sell itself.

Absolutely IncredibleWhen I read that this app actually allowed you to snap a picture of a puzzle and start playing it, I was a little skeptical. So, I forked over the 99 cents and gave it a try. I was amazed at how well the grab process really works. You have to see this to believe it. Im totally blown away by this app.

Great app for Sudoku fansA great full featured Sudoku app. The ability to capture apps from books and newspapers is brilliant. The developer is very friendly and communicative and has already responded to a few of my requests. This is going to be the Sudoku app on the iphone store - so dont waste your time with any of the others - get this one while its only a dollar!

This is awesome!This is the first app I have rated 5 stars. It has so many features when trying to figure out the puzzle. there are so many "built in" puzzles if your not able to take a picture of one..the picture feature is awesome it worked perfect the couple times I did it just for fun..if somebody is able to "scan" a sodoku game onto there iPhone I will be waiting to see a actual document scanner coming soon.. That would be even cooler.
