Hellfire is an exciting helicopter combat game that takes you on a worldwide tour of duty. Climb aboard your helicopter gunship and take on 16 missions of adrenaline-fuelled combat action in a global theater of war.
Game features include:
- Worldwide missions to complete, including multiple objectives per mission.
- Choice of full Campaign or single Mission modes.
- Choice of US or Soviet helicopters, both with realistic weapon loadouts and capabilities.
- Varied gameplay with multiple levels of challenge.
- Combination of accelerometer and touchscreen controls.
- 3D terrain and enemies, along with high quality pre-rendered helicopter models.
- Dynamic sound effects and music soundtrack, or switch them off and listen to your own music.

	This is a nice chopper sim with nice 3D graphics and good game play. There are around 15 or so missions but hopefully with updates they will add more. The controls are ok , I just wish that the altitude was controled by the accelerometer rather than the lever on the left of the screen. Still this is the best chopper shooting sim out and worth the buy.

	If you love Blue Skies, then Hellfire will stoke your fire too. Handmark makes some great games, and Hellfire was ported really well to the iPhone/iPod Touch. I found the controls to be very responsive where you fire by tapping buttons on the screen and tilting accordingly to move, brake and turn (under Options, you can set the tilt sensitivity). You also have a slide lever to increase/decrease your height and land/takeoff. In most of the levels, your goal is to destroy enemy targets, rescure fellow troops, and bring them back to a rendezvous point. Visually, Hellfire looks great, although there are a few things I would suggest for future updates: autosave function where you can continue if a call/message interrupts gameplay, a little more animation with the chopper so it actually turns in the direction you tilt, changing the chopper noise so it varies a bit (it constantly sounds the same which can be slightly annoying for some), and more powerups/weapons. For many, Hellfire will be a great addition to their gaming library.

	Yeah, the app pics look cool and you hope you're in for a heck of a fight... Not really. Hellfire is a bit fun, but play it for awhile and you get a primal sense of intellectual vacuum. And it resets to the beginning when you get killed. I find that stupid beyond belief. There is a bare, bare minimum of strategy. I think some strategy is why we buy these games. I don't want to just fly the helo and hit the 'Fire' button.So, overall I would say Hellfire can be a tad interesting but not more than that.

	I was thinking this would be more along the lines of a heli combat sim; I was wrong. This is a full on arcade style game. Not worth $5, $2 would be a better fit. If you are a SIM guy, don't buy. If you have not a clue on how helicopters work, go for it.

	Not a bad game. Good scenery, but chopper motion is kind of jerky. Missions are a little repetitive - at least initially (I've not gone too far yet). Not worth $5 in my opinion. Better flying/shooting games available for less.

	This is a 3rd person game and not a scroller like chopper. The graphics are so good you can see that it is rainy in the mointains and sun rays threw the clouds. Game play is smooth even with high end graphics great sound. Yes unlike a lot of other shooter plain games, this game really sounds like machine guns and missels the con I have for this is with the turning. You feel more like a yaw then a turn. More like the landscape is turning the chopper does not lean into the turns the way it would like a motorcycle leans into the turns. If this was fixed it would be great. I too would like HUD mode. If you are like me and have to have every flying game that hits the phone, then I am sure this download would be somewhere in your top 3 favorites. I had this game on the palm and handmark did a good job converting it to iphone

	Intuitive controls and pretty decent graphics make this game a real winner. there needs to be some sort of calibration option on this too. Needs more helis and lots different ammo configs. Other than that, great game.

	This is the hands down best game for iPhone. Dynamic missions, prisoner extraction (I figured it would be run and gun) tough battles; I look forward to updates! ( better menu and settings, more Missions, etc) Worth the $$

	Handmark is hands down the best app maker for the iPhone out there. Hellfire rocks! Great graphics, easy to pick up, fun to play--all of the things that you would expect, just done better than could ever be anticipated. Love the game. Love the company. Keep them coming you guys!!!

	2 months and 5 games later I can step away from fieldrunner. Couldn't find a game that could compete with it till now. Controls can be improved yes but after I played with it for 5 minutes I do believe that it's worth the 5 bucks I payed for. Great start!

	For a game on the iphone/iPod touch it has beutiful grafics, exspacaily for a 3d game. And it realy fun to play. But please fix the problem were the helicopter starts spinning in circles

	I think the game was fun. Priced too expensive but nice to play when bored. For those of us who don't understand military rankings a basic (easy, med, hard) would be nice. Also needs a way to reload weapons without dying first. Wait for a few updates before purchasing.
