Gameloft, please read this review. I know that you dont usually update, but this game has AMAZING POTENTIAL to become ONE OF THE MOST PURCHASED APPS! if you fix just 3 things, this game will be perfect! Thats it! 1) the AI is a little bit weak. Make the game a little more challenging 2) COMMANDER ABILITIES! if this is an advance wars clone, then beef up the commanders! Give them bothe abilities AND powers.( ie... Clydes innate ability is +10% ground attack and his power that he has to charge up gives +30%.) this would help diversify the roster and we advance wars fans would love it and buy this app. 3) Fix how underpowered the linx is, and how overpowered the commando is. Lets face it, the tank unit should to more to a tank than a mech should! Now i know that doing suggestion #2 woul tak work, but it would be well worth the effort! PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT THESE IDEAS REPOST THEM. IF JUST I WRITE THESE THINGS, ESPECIALLY #2, THEN THE DEVS WONT PUT IT IN! PLEASE HELP THIS APP REACH ITS FULL POTENTIAL

The jrpg-style story is pretty frustrating - I don't feel like tapping through 40 lines of dialog every time I want to play a level. Far too much manual attention is required for mundane tasks - you'll spend 80% of your time moving units with the awkward interface or repeating the same instructions to your factories every single turn. No undo, so one accidental touch will ruin your strategy; and the troop transport / refueling is poorly thought out. The killer, though, is Mexico City. After 50 rounds of stalemate over the ludicrous bottleneck map, I just got boooooored. I've deleted the game, and don't plan to buy from these guys again.

True, the AI is not very bright. Factories looked like they were churning out fighters randomly rather than with any meaningful purpose. But I expect the AI will get better over time. I'm voting this one over Uniwar but only slightly. Still playing both!

I was waiting for this game to come out and it came two days before it was going to. And that's not a bad thing I have played for just a 1/2 hour and all I said was "wow" this game is so fun it's so well does I did not think it was going to be so good and it's just $5 I think it should be $10 that's how good it is. Thanks gameloft for making the best games ever!!!!!!!

First off I want to say that I have yet to beat the game. According to the my in game profile I am 73% done. I have played the game for more than 8 hours.The good.The game is very slick. The 2D visuals are well done and all of the animations are great. The dialoge is a bit campy but it is fun and in the spirit of the game. The interface is great and the game is a pleasure to use. The battle system is insteresting. Its not too deep but it requires enough thought and planning to keep things interesting.The bad.Maps. Several missions ammount to little more than trying to juggle lots of units along a narrow path trying to keep them out of each others way. This can be fun and interesting (like I said I have played the game for over 8 hours and enjoyed most of it) but it can become tedious. The main problem is the AI. So far I have won every mission on the first try. The most units I have ever lost is 3 (usually killing ten times as many enemy units). Unfortunately, the AI is obviously flawed in several ways. The computer will frequently attack with units that won't even do damage to their opponent (a Shadow attacking a Sabertooth for instance). Despite failing to do any damage the first time the AI will just throw units away over and over again. Even worse when the AI destroys its own units without achomplishing anything it will buy more of the same ineffective type. The AI rarely buys its stronger units even when it contains enough resourse points to do so. The AI seems to be unable to use the self destruct command, understand choke points, controll bridges or many other things. However, most blatently I have been in 3 battles against the AI where its Dragon unit (a long range missle unit) has been able to attack my forces and never once has it fired. The final word.Overall I really like the game and system they have built. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is the AI. I hope they are able to fix or adjust the AI to make the computer a real opponent (or at least offer a hard difficulty).

With a bit better design, this could be a great game. But the obtrusive KILL button, the weak AI, and the poorly laid out maps (some, not all) take the shine off of the game. Currently it's a second-rate Advance Wars and that's not a bad thing but it could be great on it's own with some refinements.

I liked this game well enough, but the AI is not very smart to say the least. I never felt challenged by this game and I noticed as others did that most actions taken by the AI were questionable. Not nearly as good as Advance Wars (which I wish was available here BTW!), but is decent to waste some down time on. One day a truly good turn based game will arrive on this platform I think...

This is hands down my favorite game for the iPhone/Touch platform. Incredible presetation and production values. Absorbing game play that reminds me of Advanced Wars, but much more intense. Very polished, well made game!

One of the better strategy games in the app store. Though not perfect, and not quite as polished as advance wars, there is still a fair amount of content for us to dig into, and many hours of gameplay to be had. If you are a fan of the genre there is little reason why you should not check this out soon.

Got this game free from Gameloft during the anniversary event....Wow...what a boring game. Turn based games with units moving around a map marked by squares, who the heck likes this genre?!! Anyway, I have been hoping that Gameloft would give out their action titles and except for Hero of Sparta (a game I already bought), all the other "free" releases have been horrible games. Pass this thing by unless you like reading ALOT of dialogue and clicking units from point to point.
