Well...the intro scene is ok but after that the screen stays blank!!!!! Ipod touch 2g users be warned

Even with a practically new iPod touch and most up to date software, something is wrong with this game. There's a problem with the game. The intro vid loads fine, but afterwards all you get is a black screen. This happens after level 25-30, and needs to be fixed.

At last, Gameloft fixed the cop chase, but it still does not address the following bugs which are, A) Once you use nitro, it becomes extremely to difficult to control your car which becomes a disadvantage because b) it does not matter you go nitro, the AI cars are still faster than yours without using their nitro. C) How much weight does your car have to be to eliminate a motorcycle. They don't crash when you hit them from behind, they don't lose control when you sideswipe them very hard and they still stay on the race. D) Same thing goes with the other AI controlled cars, comparing the cars in Asphalt 4 and Asphalt 5, the cars from the latter is impossible to eliminate unless you hit them particularly hard in a certain spot while the cars in 4, once you use nitro, you can hit them in the rear bumper really hard and off they go flying. The AI cars of Asphalt 5 are more sturdier , much faster and more manueverable than the car you posses and finally D) It is so difficult to drift your car in Asphalt 5 than in Asphalt 4. When it comes to drifting, your car cannot drift to saved it's life.

New update fixed the minor problems I was having in the Cop Chase Mode! Fantastic! Nice to see companies that care about their customers and fix issues.

UPDATE: Don't listen to the reviewer who said cop chase is still too hard after the update. I'm now able to finish most of them on the first lap, and the game is now the best arcade racer in the AppStore. Like everyone says, the car chases bring this game to a crashing halt as if it's practically impossible even if you drive flawlessly and have perfect takedown technique. It's a shame, because the graphics are great on a 3Gs and it flows smoothly. It's definitely the most fun arcade racer, and the online component is great, but like with most games, I like to spend time on the campaign/career mode. If you like the same, I'd recommend waiting for gameloft to update with a tweak to the car chase difficulty before buying.

This game with the update is horrible!!! No real dynamics, transmissions are not real. Mercedes SUV faster than GT-R??? Buy something else. Chase races are still crap

This is the best racing game with excellent graphics and gameplay, but the most recent update doesn't let me get pass the into video. I wasted 7 bucks. Please fix this in the next update!! I love this game!

still a little slow while driving the screen stops for a minute then it gets back. Worked well until it just stopped working dont buy at level 23 or something just stops when u pull it up there is a black screen. listen gameloft if you don't do it right the first time dont do it at all. i watsed 7 bucks i should have listened to the other custemers but i didn't now i regret it!!!

This game is well made and is worthy of much praise.However, in some levels of the game, computers have much better cars than the player.This makes it slightly unfair to the player.For example, I am stuck on a normal race in Miami because the computers have the second best car in the game while I have the 7th best. For future reference, make the computers somewhat equal to the player.

Ok, the game starts with a great intro, it has got all the best cars, except the Porshe, which didn't stop the authors from making sort of copycats of Cayenne and other Porsche cars. Anyway, to put it simply, this game is extremely frustrating and annoying. It provides no satisfaction whatsoever. If you want to monotonously install the same upgrades on every car, as there is no actual customization, looking for rediculuos races - this one is for you definetely. Every race feels just the same as the one before it, and there is no variety in the game. The soundtrack is Ok, but no up to the better ones in this genre, however, you can play your own music. But the biggest flaw of this game is Cop Chase mode, which is extremely hard and challenging in a bad way. You'll find yourself nervous when you won't be able to win it, and not because of your own skills, but because the game is made in such poor way. Don't make the mistake of thinking: "Oh, this is Gameloft, so it's got to be a good game!" Believe me, you'll be regretting your decision to buy this one in 20 minutes.

Everything seems ok just wish you could take off the intro video that has to be at least 59mb please take it off. But hey I love asphalt 5 more then asphalt 4 keep it up I'm glad to have this game 
