Frustrating!Im a medical student and owner of Netters altas of Human Anatomy which I love. Who doesnt love his illustration? So I decided to buy all of his apps to compliment the book...BIG MISTAKE. It is very frustrating entering and exiting apps to search for things (maybe combining these into one app would solve this problem). Also these apps DO NOT contain everything the book does...In other words, it is missing lots of vital illustrations from the book which results in frustrating searches with no results. I most often find myself just using wikipedia anyway (which is free!) I like the illustrations and the idea of these apps, but it is missing a lot of illustrations from the book, and it is frustrating having to switch between apps. I do not recommend these apps.

The inferior nuchal line is labeled the foramen magnum, and in another, the lacrimal bone is labeled the nasals. Statistically I am guessing there are more of the same. I hope the makers of the product do an update and fix these mistakes. If they do, I will certainly give a higher rating to the product.

Nice utility for future dentists, plenty of room for improvementThe images are great, and theyre not always available in Netters atlas. You get a nice look at individual bones, etc., that you might not see otherwise, and the info on the "back" is helpful. I used this as an intro to the skull, but have since abandoned it for my text. It was great to familiarize myself with the different structures, but this is not going to do much more than help me to read the text more fluently, and maybe help on my identification exam.Its worth the $40. You can travel with this program easily. The quiz function is a nice memory tool. Its a great introduction to the skull. However, as a caveat emptor, you should know that there are some mistakes that need to be corrected (for example, foramen magnum and inferior nuchal line are reversed on one plate, as is lacrimal bone and nasal bone on another). The interface isnt always the easiest either. You might want to hold off on buying this if possible, but if youre a current dental student like I am, then just buy it. Youre spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on your education, this is worth the 40 bucks.

Dont buy!It doesnt have near enough detail to be useful, especially $40 worth! I took head and neck anatomy as an undergrad and in dental school and it didnt help me in either class. It has potential but doesnt have enough content to be useful.

No where near enough detailAs a dental student, I bought this thinking it would help with my head & neck anatomy courses and serve as an easy way to keep on top of things down the road. Forty bucks later, I realized that this doesnt go into anywhere NEAR enough detail to serve as any kind of study aid for the level of anatomy we need to know.Thats my main gripe. But since Im at it, it would be nice if we could zoom in with the double-tap that works in virtually every other iPhone app (maps, Safari, etc.) as opposed to having to pinch. The rubber-band physics of dragging the image around to move seems a little "loose," too.

Errors and not enough detailI was very excited when this was first announced but have been afraid to use it without cross referencing it with another source because I found errors. Sometimes it looks like there will be a lot of detail but you discover that one term is linked to 3 pins. If I could do it again, Id get the real flash cards. I hope they do more updates.

More detailed plates please!These are good study cards but MORE detailed plates are needed to justify the $40. Also NEEDS a double tap zoom. As is the product should be priced $15-20. Would easily get 5 stars if it had more detailed plates.

Big DisappointmentI purchased this app back in Summer 2010. Literally days before it was released for the ModalityBody app for the iPad. So I am stuck viewing this as an enlarged iPhone app on my iPad screen unless I spend another $40 to purchase the same content again through ModalityBody. Once you buy the app, you should be able to view it using an iPad native format. It seems that modality should take care of the customer with this. Next- there are only a small minority of anatomical structures identified on these flashcards. I would simply prefer the pages from the Netter atlas in an iPad app. If this is what youre looking for, look elsewhere- because you will be disappointed by this app.
