Description

Takayuki Fukatsus series of the first ToyCamera apps. This simple application changes your iphones camera to the fun toycamera.
You do not need any difficult setting or photo editing knowledge. Actually this app has any setting panel.
All you need is just take a photo with this app.
ToyCamera automatically adds several random effects that is chosen in setting to your pictures.

TROUBLE SHOOTING:
If you are NON-English user and if all navigation is displayed with Japanese, it means in your iPhone, Japanese has higher language priority than English.
To fix problem, simpley open iPhones setting/general/language panel, and select English as your language. After setting back your mother language to first language. It changes languages Priority.

I admit it. I don't use a lot of the apps that I buy. However, I use Toy Camera more than any app combined. I love the random effects. I like to be surprised by what comes out. Many of my best photos were taken with this app. Love it. And I've been into photography for 35 years.

Love QuadCamera. I wish you could make a version of ToyCamera with the same interface and speed as QuadCamera. Or have an option that just takes the photo and applies the effect, no waiting to ask use and process. It just does it all and prepares the next shot. Then it really would feel like a ToyCamera of fast instant fun. Thank you for your great work.

Toy Camera was one of the first photo apps i bought for my iPhone and after investing in many many more, i find that Toy Camera just might be my favorite of them all. It's simple, elegant, and most importantly it takes amazing photos. Other photo apps Can be great but most require a certain degree of tweaking on an almost per-photo basis and this is just fine when you feel like being in "Photography Mode" but, what about just an all-round fantastic camera that adds just a level of enhancing magic to pretty much Every snap you might take? that's Toy Camera. 5 Stars.

Don't get me wrong I love this app, but there were things that need to be fixed, and updated, once that has been done, I will endorse this app and give high marks.I initially wrote a bad review because I would only get B&W images. I reinstalled, now it get some color images, and sometimes B&W. If that is part of the effects, I wish it would say that it will process varying styles at random. That being said, it does work, but I have no control whether or not it will be B&W or color. Color effects can be very random as well, that I don't mind as much (keeps it interesting and is what makes it specially), yet the B&W I wish I was able to control.Also, it has big time MEMORY issues, needs to be optimized, to prevent memory leaking.All in all, the image processing algorithm is great, the random effects and the color blow outs as well as the blur effects make it feel like a real lomo or holga. Would be great though if there were minor choices that would allow some control.

To the haters of ToyCamera, you are probably right, this app is not for you. It won't let you choose images from your album, it is not simple to adjust filters with each shot, you can't redo an image after it has been processed. You don't get the point of this app, and that is completely OK. Too bad you didn't read about it first.To the lovers of this app... You love the very simple fact that, just like using an authentic toy camera (especially with expired film), you don't quite know what you are going to get, and that is precisely what what makes this app so very wonderful. As a serious amateur photographer, I have never been very happy with the camera on my iPhone.... Finally, I can get photos I actually want from my iPhone with this app. I really like that the result is completely random.... That is the nature of toy cameras anyway... other than color vs b&w, you never really know how your shot will come out in a Holga or Dianna.... Its the element of surprise that makes this app so much fun. I find that I turn to this app more than any other photography app. I was excited when one of my ToyCamera images (along with images from several others) was included in an online article about camera phone photography, in the New York Times in early July, 2009. It was impressive to see the number of featured images that used ToyCamera. Thanks Takayuki for putting this fine application together, and helping to keep the fun in photography.

This app takes really cool pics. Has some bugs though. First, it tells me after every pic taken that I need to reboot my phone due to low memory - it shouldn't do that. Also, the "warning" is misspelled and says "worning." I also wish I could use the toy camera effect on pics already on my phone. Please add this and the bug fixes on a future update. Overall, I enjoy this app and have taken some cool pics.

It's nothing like these modern digicams with tens of presets and tens of meg-pixels. Actually this tiny app offers nothing to configure, and nothing to worry about. It's that simple.You just have to click, and leave everything else to Toy Camera. Not only tasteful images of a good old toy camera, you will get a minimal, simple, and stoic feel of it.If you love to take pictures on iPhone, spice it up with Toy Camera, and you will enjoy your iPhones even further.

I luv luv luv this app. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it states there isn't enough memory space ALL the time. Other then that I love the results. My photos have turned out great and I have had so many compliments on them.

I love the simple effects that it creates. I use this more frequently than the regular camera application. My only wish is that it would also be able to use photos already in my library, and that it did not downsample the images to 800x600. Otherwise it's outstanding!

I downloaded the app and found it not good. First of all, I was really pissed off to found that you could not load image from photo album. Everyone knows that iPhone camera is not good. I have uploaded many of my high quality pics from itune and now they are totally irrelevant to this app. It is tedious to apply filters, you have to go to setup , select a filter and then take a shot. You could not apply different filter to the same image. The only destination you can upload is their own. No flickr, facebook, etc. The most critical drawback of this app is that all filters are very very poor. They just change my photo to some very low intensity, under exposed images. I also have the old camera, I could not see any difference between the two.

I'm a big fan of the iPhone's photog apps. After reading reviews and browsing through the Toy Camera Flickr group I decided to give the app a try. While the interface is clean, and the image output is decent I'm just not liking the fact that the application selects the image effect for you. And typically the first 1-2 shots are B&W. Due to the autosave feature you really can't have a "second take" if you are working in a dynamic surrounding (i.e.; you find a "cool" shot and by the time you review your Toy Camera pic and decide for a 2nd shot it's too late, the moment has passed). I'm sticking with the best Photo app available right now- Camera Bag. It's untouchable right now in my opinion, however, with a few minor tweaks Toy Camera could become a 4-star application. Based on some info I've seen it sounds like the devleloper is planning to allow the user to select the effects so that's cool. Wait for that update and then I recommend a download, worth the $1.99 pricetag by then...
