	I just installed & started it. My music was muted and the app works AND thru my Bluetooth stereo headset. I got it because I have ultimate ears headphones (hard wired) and it's nice to hear externally with a touch of this app instead of having to pull out my headphones AFTER I take my helmet off -- live to ride! GREAT APP FOR ME!!!

	I bought this app for it's amplification capabilities, but was highly disappointed. Makes a decent sound recorder, but doesn't increase volume of sounds nearly as well as Amplify'd does.

	I'd seen the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. It took me a few minutes to get the hang of it, but once I learned to use both the rocker button on the side of iPhone and the big volume slider in soundAMP, volume control became easy. It's plenty loud for my use now. Thanks for creating this!

	I'm getting to the age where I don't always hear all the words my family and friends say to me. I've tried other devices with mixed results. A friend told me about this app, and I thought, "Why not?" I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sound coming through my ear buds. An added plus is that it saves the last 30 seconds of what it picks up: this means that if I don't quite understand a phrase that's a bit garbled, I can listen to it several times and get its meaning. Even after my swimming workout (when my ears are water-filled after doing 50 x 50s butterfly on a minute), Soundamp helps me hear more clearly. I look forward to seeing how this product evolves. Highly recommended!

	Before I purchased soundAMP, I went to the Ginger Labs website to read a bit more about what I was going to spend my money on. I found out that this App has a sound processor in it which does exactly what I need, namely, amplify soft sounds and compress loud sounds. Well, I bought it, and so far so good.

	I have typical old man's hearing loss, moderate to severe. I have trouble with high frequency sounds, so that conversations with women and children are difficult; and I have difficulty following conversation in situations where the background noise is mainly human voices, like parties and restaurants. I have high tech hearing aids, which cost $3K each, and they help a lot, but there's still a lot I miss. I bought this app this afternoon, and we just came back from dinner with a friend, a woman who speaks very softly; I've always had a particularly difficult time with Anne. I plugged my old iPod earbuds into the iPhone, so that soundAMP used the iphone mike, and laid the iPhone on the restaurant table pointed toward Anne. I heard everything perfectly, both Anne and my wife, who was seated next to me. And the background noise - the people talking at other tables around us - stayed very comfortably in the background.I love this app! The interface is one of the cleanest I've seen on an iPhone app; it's easy to choose different frequency amplification profiles for different conditions, easy to mute the device, easy to change the volume, easy to replay the last minute of conversation to pick up something that you missed. I can't wait to take it to the coffee shop tomorrow morning and test it with a larger group, and with a different kind of background noise (traffic, heavy at times, with many trucks just starting up a hill). And I suspect it will be great for movies and concerts.And all for $10. Not quite as small as the six grand solution (which has its place), and I did attract a few puzzled stares, carrying on a dinner table conversation while plugged into the iPhone. But it works great, and I suspect that it will become one of the most frequently used apps on my iPhone.

	This app worked great at the airport - I was better able to hear the announcements. The rewind feature is quite creative an useful for when you missed something someone said (especially abnouncements) - would be great if I could store recordings. I would leave it on all the time!

	The new UI is nice. I especially like the new volume control, and appreciate the 1 minute repeat feature. The sound quality is a good as ever. 	I actually enjoyed playing guitar for a change focusing on the sound instead of just playing notes ! I was bummed to find that it didn't work with bluetooth but I'm sure they are working on it . 	Well i'm impressed! I'm profoundly/severly /left/right deaf and i decided to try this app. out. I had to unfortunatly turn the volume up all the way and by doing so i recieved a wierd feedback "wine" noise but by slightly adjusting the volume as well as the tuner i was able to get rid of the feedback (unfortunatly others in room say there is a screetch coming from earphones which i don't hear)I also attached a booster amplifier (can be found at target/wallmart/etc)(i'm using Phillips amp which is a small round hand held device. Earphone/mic plug to one side then amplifier plugs into iTouch and this setup makes everything so much better and clearer. I am so happy now i can use this for my doctors appointments.I also LOVE the recording ability while listening live because i always miss what is said and now i can repeat it all and save my recordings.Especially my doctors appt. which are very important for me to fully understand and what i don't i can go over the recordings to confirm. Thank you developers!!Oh and i can understand TV/Movies now :).Oh also whats great help is the ability to use just left or right earplugs.Since i still have some little hearing in right i can just have sound come out of right earplug without having blasting sound coming out of left which i don't put in ear and everyone can hear what is coming out in that earplug so this is an extra bonus :).

	this app is useless. to get the audio loud enough for the mic to respond to it and play it through the headphones, it has to be loud enough that you can hear it anyway. I'm hearing impaired, and hoped this might help me until I can afford hearing aids. but I can hear better just cupping my hand around my ear than with this worthless crAPP.there is a FREE app called uListen that I wish I had found first. its as good as a real hearing aid!

	I like the update. Many more control and easier to use. There is not a lock button that I can find to use if I am in a movie or lecture. Does the update mean I will no longer be able to use it for an extended period of time?

	Pro: soundAMP R now works just about perfectly with the iPhone4 and the headset that comes with the iPhone4. Unlike the previous versions (and previous iPhone) there is no background whistling, no HVAC rumble, and voices come through clearly. People who I couldn't understand at all are now clear. Con: If there are several conversations going on nearby the microphone picks them all up equally and it's sometimes hard to isolate the people you want to hear from those you don't. This is minor and I don't think the app can do anything about the fact that the microphone isn't directional. Summary: If there are frequently people that you know are saying something but you can't understand them, try this app with the iPhone4.

	When I got to the hospital they were considering nursing home placement for my dad. He was in a hospital without his hearing aides and no amplifier. They thought he was confused. I took out my iPhone, downloaded soundAMP, and put the earbuds in his ears. Within a few minutes he was telling stories to the nurses. They loved him and were amazed at the iPhone. He went home. This app and my iPhone helped my dad go home. I now plan to use it to help my hard of hearing patients to hear me better. Thank you. Please note that it is a sad comment on the hospital that they did not consider that he could not hear. Old folks don't like to admit they can't hear.

	When used with Shure earbuds and mic, SoundAmp amplifies all the sounds you don't want to hear, and muffles the sounds you do. It is impossible to hear the TV several feet away unless the TV is at normal volume, and even then it sounds muffled and distorted through SoundAmp. However, the app picks up breathing and footsteps just fine! I have decent hearing, so I have to wonder--do you need to be nearly deaf for it to seem like this app is an improvement, or does it only work with the iPhone's internal mic? Clearly, this app has no buisiness being advertised by Ginger Labs as usable with a mic and headset setup, judging by the number of complaints by external mic users here and my own experience. If a $230.00 headset and mic combo won't pick up enough sound for the app to work as advertised, I'm not sure what will! Don't get cheated: don't buy this app unless you have an internal microphone. Developer: you owe it to the consumers you've cheated out of $10.00 with false promises to make this an iPhone only app. Don't lie to us and say it will work with a headset mic when it clearly doesn't. This review has been up for some time no with no app update or revision to Ginger Labs' claims, so it's clear they're content to take our money and run, and have no intent to improve their product, or at the very least, remove the fraudulent, misleading claims from the app description. It is unfortunate that the developer has updated the app with several new versions, but has still failed to provide headphone mic support as advertised.

	The app offers no improvement in one's ability to pick up low level sounds. I tried the app with iPhone headset (with mic) as well as other headsets (without mic). The result is disappointing. The app appears to adjust the output volume according to the ambient sound level. Most of the time, distortion is present in the sound output. Perhaps it may be useful to those who wear hearing aids.
